TDSO is a leading non-governmental organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of education in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We seek a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Headmaster for our practice school. This unique role involves overseeing the school's day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective delivery of English language education to over 250 students, and managing Language Teaching Projects with Partner Organisations.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Educational Leadership:
  • Provide visionary leadership to the teaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to educational excellence.
  • Implement and monitor curriculum standards to meet the educational objectives of the NGO.
  • Teacher Management:
  • Collaborate with the NGO's leadership team to recruit, train, and supervise a team of teachers, ensuring they adhere to the NGO's teaching methodologies and principles.
  • Collaborate with the NGO's Quality Manager to conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional development.
  • Student Welfare:
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
  • Monitor and address student welfare concerns promptly, collaborating with teachers and parents as necessary.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Build positive relationships with parents, local communities, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize and participate in community events to promote the school and its mission.
  • Program Development:
  • Collaborate with the NGO's leadership team to contribute to developing and enhancing teacher training programs.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the practice school.
  • Develop and implement various activities promoting second language development.
  • Administrative Oversight:
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including attendance records and school schedules
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in TESOL, Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in educational leadership and school management.
  • Strong understanding of English language education methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Cambodian education policies and practices.
