Events and Marketing Officer

Position Summary

Address: Hun Neang Boulevard, Phnom Penh

Position Overview:

The Events and Marketing Officer is the main coordinator for ISPP’s community and staff events, from planning to execution, with oversight from the Communications and Marketing Manager. The position holder is responsible for securing event sponsorship and magazine advertising, as well as sourcing marketing and promotional products and managing the production of a range of annual printed publications

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Events coordination: Coordinate operational and logistic responsibilities for ISPP community and whole school staff events, in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing Manager and other team members. Includes occasional after hours and weekend work, as required.
  • Publications/Communications support: Coordinate the production of publications, banners, t-shirts, merchandise etc. Coordinate production of whole school print requirements eg. letterhead, student notebooks, lanyards, business cards, promotional and other ad hoc products.
  • Sponsorship and Marketing:
  • Cultivate and expand sponsorship relationships, identify potential sponsors, create compelling sponsorship proposals and present at meetings with potential sponsors. Negotiate final agreements and prepare documents/contracts for sponsors.
  • Identify /develop advertising opportunities for the ISPP Pulse, yearbook and ad hoc publications.
  • Prepare and manage contracts with media and advertising suppliers eg. tuk tuk advertising.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Minimum university qualification in marketing, business or other relevant field
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Khmer
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience with events support or similar complex organisational abilities
  • Experience in supplier and/or sponsor negotiations
  • Ability to develop creative and innovative approaches to developing partnerships
  • Energetic and outgoing personality that supports ability to build effective relationships
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, in a team and independently, including managing schedule effectively
  • Computer literate, experienced in using Google suite products.
  • Understanding of print and production processes
  • Photography skills and knowledge beneficial
