With support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), WaterAid Cambodia is implementing the second phase of the Inclusive and Climate-Resilient Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (ICR-WASH) project. This phase aims to strengthen the WASH infrastructure in selected healthcare facilities (HCFs) to ensure that they are safe, accessible, and inclusive for all individuals while also being resilient to climate challenges.
Access to safe WASH services in Cambodia remains limited, particularly in rural areas. Vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, pregnant women, the elderly, and young children, face significant barriers to accessing adequate WASH facilities. These challenges impact both the quality of care provided and the ability of healthcare facilities to respond to health emergencies and climate-related disruptions effectively.
