Employer Description

Uncle Pon’s Orphange Home (UPH) is a non-profit making humanitarian organisation, and is registered with the Cambodian Ministry of Interior in March 2013. UPH is known as a residential care centre, founded by a generous Cambodian-Australian Medical Doctor Uncle Pon and a few Cambodian friends. However, UPH was found from nothing to a gradually progress of residential care centre. Uncle Pon has been investing personal properties, financial support and endeavour for many years. Two main reasons inspired the founder to commit this work: firstly, he deeply experienced in supporting services to the public health sector in Kshach Kandal District, Kandal Province in 1990s. Secondly, he is also a double orphan who successfully migrated to Australia. Pokreuseey is a commune of Khsach Kandal District chosen as the UPH headquarters due to Uncle Pon’s legacy and his love to children in the past. The Home is located about 15 Kilometres from Phnom Penh Capital City at the eastern bank of the Mekong River sounded by calm but beautiful rice paddy field in real rural Cambodia.

In November 2013, the UPH management team developed the start-up and strategic plans to fully run the Home by mild 2014. The building was designed with careful consideration towards the safety for children, accessing to a 24-hour care service, facility and education. The Home is almost complete to serve its service to selected orphanages.
