Engineers Without Borders Australia

Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB Australia) is a member-based, for-purpose organisation with our National Office and staff team located in Melbourne and volunteer chapters in WA, SA, Vic, NT, NSW, ACT and QLD.

EWB Australia works within Australia and overseas to improve the knowledge and physical resources of people in need via grassroots engineering programs, capacity development, and sector leadership.

With fifteen years’ experience, EWB Australia has three major focus areas:

1. enabling appropriate solutions to alleviate poverty and accelerate inclusive sustainable development;
2. redefining engineering as a community centred profession providing leadership for a more sustainable world and;
3. inspiring and mobilizing a global community in engineering for social change.

At EWB Australia, we strongly believe that every engineer can be a change agent for a socially just and sustainable world. This belief drives EWB Australia to lead a movement of like-minded individuals and companies working together to increase the social impact created by Australian and international engineers and their projects.

EWB Australia achieves impact through cross-sector collaboration and partnerships. EWB Australia’s way of working is different.
