YIPSA Project Officer
This position is expected to start as soon as possible.
Purpose of Position: Oversee plan of actions, budget management and control, and implement activities of the YIPSA project. To ensure the project follows the organizational philosophy and achieves its goal and objectives, and strategic plan.
- Develop activity plan, monthly and yearly budget plan projection and closely perform the implementation of the agreed project activities,
- Implement the activities of the project that reflect the budget plan for 2024 as the following:
- Provide capacity building for the volunteer youth clubs in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Kampong Cham province;
- Conduct orientation to newly trained youth to set up volunteer youth club (VYC),
- Work closely with the project team to assess and provide technical and financial support to volunteer youth clubs for their project implementation,
- Conduct monitoring to project implementation of youth clubs/groups at their target sites;
- Work with Program Assistant Volunteers (PAVs) to organize capacity building for volunteers so that they are capable to implement the projects,
- Prepare a budget for implementing activities, clear expenses with an attachment of a summary report, and write a separate activity report;
- Work closely with the M&E team to keep track of and assess the achievement of the project implementation;
- Work with project team to write quarterly, six months, and annual report of the project;
- Keep track and monitor closely the progress or change of social and political situation in Cambodia that are relevant to the project.
- BA in related field such as Development Studies, Sociology, Community Development, Economic, Environment, Human Rights and Laws;
- At least two years of work experience in relevant field as mentioned above;
- Proven experience in coordinating networks and/or mobilizing youth for environmental sustainability;
- At least two years of experiences in project management;
- Excellence communication both Khmer and English;
- Advanced computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic knowledge of database is a plus);
- Strong interpersonal skills and passionate to work with youth;
- Ability to work independently; and
- Able to travel and stay overnight at remote communities.
