Purpose of the Position
Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our cold storage facility with Health, Safety, Environment and Social (HSES). You will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring the integrity of temperature-sensitive products, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and optimizing the performance of the logistics team. Create SOPs, Form, Work Instruction and Guideline to develop and ensure that warehouse department will sustainable and good services provider in cold storage and logistics temperature-controlled. Warehouse Manager shall follow and fully support in servicing of customer needs for cold storage and logistics temperature-controlled service provider based on sales agreement, term and conditions. Specific duties will include:
- Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the cold storage facility, including inbound and outbound logistics, handling In / Out, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
- Define storage layout, racking and determine product coding to make convenience for inventory management.
- Ensure strict adherence to temperature control and quality assurance protocols to preserve the integrity of stored products.
- Manage the warehouse to identify and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Take charge of the maintenance schedule and ensure that all required maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs for equipment, racking, refrigeration, and facility infrastructure are well-planned, documented, and systematically carried out. Proactively address any maintenance issues to avoid disruption of warehouse operations.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, forklift operators, drivers, logistics coordinators.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy, track, manage temperature-sensitive products and address discrepancies promptly.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received and regular report of inventory movement.
- Compliance and HSES:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and ensure the well-being of warehouse personnel.
- Ensure completion of incident reports, communication of investigation findings in line with client and or other stakeholder requirements.
- . Client and Internal Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound shipments and goods delivery.
- Collaborate with Sales, HR / Finance department to fulfil the needs of each process to achieve the company goals.
- Meet weekly to discuss resources & operational performance, opportunities for improvement and key challenges.
- Performance Metrics and Report:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and regularly assess the performance of the warehouse team.
- Implement strategies for continuous improvement in operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all operation team are trained and competent to perform tasks.
- Present the report to management in the weekly meeting, quarterly and yearly.
- Other tasks assigned by Director and management committees.
- Quality Control
- Ensuring process flows are compliance with food safety and quality standard.
- Coordinate / Assist in food safety / Quality project (GHPs, HACCP, ISO).
- Be fully responsible for managing quality control operations.
- Procurement
- Coordinate, evaluate activities in request materials, equipment, machinery and supplies for warehouse operation to comply with company procurement policy.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
- Knowledge requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline and/or equivalent further professional development.
- Competency and Experience Requirement
- At least 3-5 years of work experience in similar capacity or positions.
- Direct experience in Cold Storage will be preferred.
- Computer skills in MS Office suite (particularly Excel); Warehouse / inventory management software.
- Good proficiency in both oral and written English.
- High integrity, hard worker, flexible and willing to take responsibility and accountability.
