Habitat for Humanity International in Cambodia (Habitat Cambodia) is part of Habitat for Humanity International and began operations in 2003. We work with diverse international and local non-governmental organizations, microfinance institutions, corporate partners, and local and national authorities to build a better life through safe and affordable homes.
Habitat Cambodia provides technical expertise, including safe and affordable house designs, water and sanitation programs, an innovative approach to housing combining market development, housing finance, and housing support services; advocacy for secure land tenure; and pro-poor housing solutions. Habitat Cambodia takes a holistic approach with partners to help informal settlers gain access to secure terms under the local government's social land concession scheme. Technical expertise is provided to micro-finance institutions and low-income families by constructing good-quality and affordable homes.
Since 2003, Habitat Cambodia has served more than 177,300 families to improve their living conditions through housing interventions, WASH facilities, community development programs, and partnerships with microfinance institutions in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Siem Reap, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Preah Vihear. Position Summary Volunteer for the Volunteer Program 1 position based in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap
The Volunteer for Volunteer Program will report to the Volunteer Program Officer. S/he is responsible for assisting and supporting the Volunteer Program Officer to coordinate, facilitate, and host the International Volunteers and Local Volunteers.
S/he will also assist in writing a family profile, logistical arrangements for Habitat Cambodia’s volunteer-related events, including hosting International Volunteers, Local Volunteers, Habitat World Habitat Day, Young Leader Build, Cooperate Build, International Volunteer Day, and closely working with the Construction Team, Project Team, Skilled workers, and home partners.
S/he will likewise support the follow-up and write a family progress update after the volunteer building event for updating the sending countries at least 2 times in the period of quarterly and semester.

Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Junior and university degree, majoring in International Relations, Sociology, Social Work or other related fields.
- Honest, willing to learn, hard-working, fast learner, team player, and open-minded.
- Good Communication and Facilitation skills
