SOFRECO is looking for a Specialized Tourism Trainer in Front Office in the frame of a tender for a project entitled "The Establishment for the National Vocational Training School on Tourism Sector" Technical Assistance (Training Lot 2).
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Duration: 5 months over three years

Terms of Reference:
The Specialized Tourism Trainer in Front Office will be involved in curriculum and syllabus development, assist in recruiting the VST trainers and train the trainers and assessors.
- S/he will be responsible for:
- Support the key expert Curriculum Development and Training Management Specialist to develop training curricula and toolboxes
- Refine and ensure the ToR of VST trainer and assessor are accurate and relevant
- Design training materials including PPT, digital contents, and other supporting materials
- Assist in trainer’s recruitment and assessment
- Train the trainers and assessors in specific area of expertise
- Train the trainers on training methodology (pedagogy) and technical skills in compliance with the ASEAN standards and progressive transfer of know-how to the trainers with support to training implementation
- Master degree in education, or tourism and hospitality management or related field
- Certificate in pedagogy or training certificate in ASEAN TVET framework is an asset
- Experience as trainers in the relevant area for the last 10 years
- Experience as tourism trainer or similar position in consultancy work of at least two similar scale/type projects in the past 10 years
- Experiences in developing curriculum and toolbox development including training materials in accordance to TVET design, Competency-based education
- Experience in developing trainer and assessor ToR and support the recruitment
- Experience in training the trainees and assessors, designing assessment and internship/apprenticeship modalities, using ASEAN standard and ASEAN MRA framework

Deputy Team Leader-Curriculum Development/Training Management Specialist
SOFRECO is looking for Deputy Team Leader-Curriculum Development/Training Management Specialist in the frame of a tender for a project entitled "The Establishment for the National Vocational Training School on Tourism Sector" Technical Assistance (Training Lot 2).
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Duration: 11 months over three years
Contract type: Consultant, long term
Terms of Reference:
The Curriculum Development and Training Management Specialist will assist the TL in the provision of technical and project management support and services to PMU in the implementation of Phase 1 and Phase 2. S/he will serve as TL during the period when TL is not on duty.
- S/he will be responsible for:
- Support in analyzing the existing pedagogical training material.
- Provide recommendation to delineate the complementary work needed to tourism trainers with regards to training engineering (what is the existing pedagogical training material, what needs to be further designed, reviewed).
- Develop the ASEAN Standards’ teaching materials with the support from tourism trainers including the coordination of multi-media (eg. Video/online) and IT as a teaching support mechanism including toolboxes, online teaching website and incorporated tools, and incorporate problem solving, cross cultural, language and life skills into learning materials.
- Coordinate local and international teacher training programs.
- Organise and implement regular internships for teachers with the private sector to ensure their skills are industry relevant.
- Network with private sector to secure part-time teaching staff to support teaching and to provide trainers for professional development programs.
- Assist MoT/PMU to review and verify the technical equipment and office materials specifications required for setting two schools (already studied by TA Training Lot 1).
- Assist MoT/PMU in preparing the Tender document and support the procurement procedure of technical equipment and office materials.
- Support the implementing and running of VST schools both in Phnom Penh and Sihanouk Ville.
- Review and confirm the laboratories (kitchen, restaurant, and other practical training rooms) with the curriculum and ensure alignment.
- Prepare safety and security operating instructions for room usage in coordination with teachers and school administration.
- Prepare guideline and training in usage of school equipment for teachers, students and administrative staff.
- Master degree in education, or human resources or tourism and hospitality management, or related field
- Certificate in pedagogy or training certificate in ASEAN TVET framework
- Experience as Deputy Team Leader of Curriculum Development and Training Management Specialist in the last 10 years
- Worked as Curriculum Development and Training Management Specialist in consultancy work of at least two similar scale/type projects in the past 10 years, ideally in hospitality sector.
- Experience in developing the training of trainer program including developing teaching materials, trainer allocation in hospitality industry
- Experience in working with private sector to allocate part-time trainers
- Experience in competency-based curriculum development in accordance with ASEAN Common Competency Standard for Tourism Professional (ACCSTP) and ASEAN MRA TP framework implementation in the last 10 years
- Experience in procurement work including preparing tender documents and procurement procedure support
- Experience in supporting the implementation of vocational school, ideally in hospitality sector.
Information Technology Specialist
SOFRECO is looking for an Information Technology Specialist in the frame of a tender for a project entitled "The Establishment for the National Vocational Training School on Tourism Sector" Technical Assistance (Training Lot 2).

Duration: 2 months over three years
Contract type: Consultant, part time, long term
Terms of Reference:
The Information Technology Specialist will provide his/her expertise in designing school management system and supervise IT network and servers to support school operation and administration and online learning.
- S/he will be responsible for:
- Conceptualize, design and propose online training tools and learning management system for VST
- Study and design school management system (classroom allocation, schedules, teachers and students, examination, apprenticeship, internship…)
- Design E-learning materials based on the content developed by specialized trainers in specific divisions
- Design and supervise IT network and servers to support school operation and administration and online training
- Design and supervise IT network and servers to support school operation and administration and online learning
- Prepare the ToR to recruit IT specialist to support VST operation
- Prepare the ToR to recruit IT consulting firm to develop website, and school management system as well as IT materials specification
- At least Master degree in computer science, or information technology
- Worked as IT Specialist or similar position in consultancy work of at least two similar scale/type projects in the last 10 years
- Experience in web design related to online learning course as well as online and off-line network in the last 10 years
- Experience in designing school management system and learning management systems
- Experience in developing the scope of work and qualification of individual IT specialist and IT consulting firm
