Position Summary:
Nickol Global Solutions (NGS) seeks an Administrative Assistant in Kampong Chhnang to provide administrative and general office support for the USAID-funded One Window for Citizens (OW4C) Project. This project deploys civic tech innovations to stimulate citizen engagement, comprehension and awareness of, and demand for quality public services offered by Government of Cambodia’s One Window Service Offices (OWSO) in an effort to increase accountability.
The Administrative Assistant will report to the Provincial Program Manager, supporting the project’s operational activities and providing administrative as well as communications support to the Provincial Program Manager.
This position will begin in late November to early December 2021.
Location: Krong Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Chhnang Province
Schedule: Full Time, Fixed Duration Contract
This Position is contracted through 31 July 2022
- Perform secretarial and administrative functions as needed, to include maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, maintaining files, handling mail and correspondence, physical assets management, program document preparation, preparing all travel-related documentation, making travel arrangements for staff as assigned, and serving as office receptionist
- Process provincial office petty cash transactions, including projecting cash flow needs and budgeting for daily expenditures.
- Support OW4C coordination efforts with other donors, NGOs, civil society groups, government officials, and other actors as needed
- Maintain project records, as directed by the Provincial Program Manager
- Maintain a master calendar for OW4C activities and events in the province.
- Proofread documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic formatting
- Provide event planning assistance and communications assistance as needed
- Arrange project transport needs for workshops, meetings and site visits
- Other duties, as assigned
- A bachelor’s degree in international development, business administration, communications, or a related field
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant administrative or project management experience, preferably on USAID or other donor-funded projects
- Demonstrated skills in basic office software programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
- Project financial skills highly desirable
- Superior interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Native fluency in Khmer required; English fluency preferred
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
