Migration and AHT Project Assistant (1 Position)

Position Summary

This position based in National Office Phnom Penh

The Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking Project Assistant will assist the Program Manager to operate the project activities, consolidate project planning, field follow up and monitoring, project report, develop training assessment, training curriculum, organize relevant training to key staffs of Caritas Cambodia and other stakeholders, produce IEC materials and other documents and ensure all documents related to Migration, Human Trafficking, Gender Promotion, Child Protection, Vocational Skill Development will collect and update year by year and filling.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Coordination and implementation of project activities and provide guidance to provincial program to ensure project activities are appropriate, timely implementation and reach to objectives set (qualitative and quantitative aspect).
  • Assist PM to prepare and consolidate quarterly and annual plan from the target provincial program.
  • Assist PM to implement project’s activities, follow up and monitoring.
  • Examine internal case management tools and make recommendations to improve the service response to survivors who have been trafficked and their family
  • Work with Advocacy Department and local hospital to broaden their response for survivors of human trafficking and survivors of all form of violence.
  • Work with NCCT and its specific members/departments, Likeminded local and international NGOs in term of prevention, protection, prosecution and partnership.
  • Working with Caritas Cambodia-Provincial Program in providing mainstreaming activity to community and providing re-integration services to survivor and their family.
  • Organize sub-national, national and regional conference regarding service provision to migrants and survivors of human trafficking and their family.
  • Maintain and update resource and referral list specific to human trafficking and all form of violence.
  • Promote integration of cross-cutting themes of gender promotion, right based advocacy and child protection through project management cycle.
  • Assist PM to provide crisis intervention services during working hours to clients who have been trafficked as needed.
  • Conduct needs assessments and provides case management and referrals to survivor as needed.
  • Assist PM to develop training need assessment, plan and training modules.
  • Assist to produce IEC materials and training manual related to Migration, Human Trafficking, Child Protection, Gender Promotion, and Vocational Skill Development for capacity building to Caritas staffs and relevant stakeholder.
  • Assist to collect any information related to Migration, Human Trafficking, Child Protection, Gender Promotion, Vocational Skill Development and share to PM and relating provincial program.
  • Attend in the meeting, workshop, forum or network meeting which related to Migration, Human Trafficking, Child Protection, Gender Promotion, Vocational Skill Development that assigned by PM and ED.
  • Maintain good relationship with the Government Departments, INGOs, NGOs and other stakeholders.
  • Assist PM to conduct field follow up and monitoring at least 2 times per year per provincial program and then submit the report to PM.
  • Assist PM to follow up and monitoring all the cases that supported by Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking Department.
  • Assist PM by cooperated with finance officer to ensure the regularly quarterly review and follow up on budget plan and expend of all projects under facilitation of Migration and Anti-Human Department.
  • Assist to prepare quarterly case request for Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking Project in national office and assist PM to review case request from regional program.
  • Assist to consolidate, monthly, quarterly, 6 months report, annual report and final report from all projects under facilitation by Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking Department.
  • Assist to collect and filing all documents of Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking, Vocational Skill Development, Child Protection and Gender Promotion project to ensure all documents was keep and clearly.
  • Any other responsibility will be given as and when need arise.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience of case management and in related field of Migration, Human Trafficking, Child Protection and Gender Promotion
  • Knowledge in project management, financial management, monitoring and reporting
  • Good experiences to serving survivors of human trafficking and family and vulnerable people
  • Good facilitation and organizing training, event, workshop
  • Good counselling skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability in financial management, administrative management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Khmer
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and Email)
