Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is a governmental organization affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea. KOFIH provide health-specialized Official Development Assistance (ODA) which is government-level assistance for partner countries. In Cambodia, KOFIH has its Country Office in Battambang Province to focus on the Maternal, Neonatal and Child Healthcare (MNCH) Program that launched in 2012. Specially, to improve the quality of pediatric service in Cambodia, KOFIH is planning to implement new project named “Capacity building for neonatal health service in Cambodia” with the support of the Community Chest of Korea (CCK) in 2021.

Position Summary This position is for CCK project.
Position: KOFIH runs CCK project with substantial amount of financial resources to effectively implement its collaborative activities with the Cambodian Government. In order to successfully carry out our due mission, KOFIH is seeking one qualified Cambodian-national candidate to join in our office for the position of a Program Officer for CCK project.
Overview of CCK project
- Name: Capacity building for neonatal health service in Cambodia
- Period: 2021. 1. 1. ~ 2021. 12. 31., First year, (total 3 years project)
- Target area: 12 provinces (First year: Bantey Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Steng Trang)
Activities
- 6 months pediatric training, 3 days IMCI training in National Pediatric Hospital (NPH)
- NICU medical equipment support for assigned provincial referral hospital
- National Technical Working group support
Description of Duties
- Duty hours: 8:00 AM-17:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
- Duty location: KOFIH Cambodia office in Battambang province (Employee may work any place within the project area under the instruction of the employer)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work scope:
- Perform monitoring for training in NPH
- Assist technical working group for newborn and IMCI
- Support the process of procurement for medical equipment.
- Financial arrangement for provision of per-diem to trainee, contracting budget to NPH, and for procurement of medical equipment.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, such as NPH, TWG, WHO, and PHDs
- Carry out administrative and secretarial duties such as speech writing, preparing document, note taking for meeting minute, translation from Khmer to English or vice versa
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by employer.
Requirements:
- Cambodian National, residency in Battambang province is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine or health related sector is necessary and/or MPH is preferred.
- 2 years of experience or more in public or private health service (i.e. doctor, nurse, midwife) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and writing skill in English and Khmer, and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Strong report writing and data collection skills, as well as interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in using MS Office.
- Often duty trip to Phnom Penh and other project sites
