The Cambodian Health Committee (CHC) is a local non-governmental, non- profit and non-sectarian multi-sectorial organization which is focused on access and delivery of care and discovery of new knowledge and approaches to cure and/or treat tuberculosis (TB) including drug resistant TB and the pioneering and scale up of TB Community DOTS, and HIV/AIDS programs for adults and children in both urban and rural Cambodia. CHC is also involved in health care financing for the poor. CHC, which was established in 1994 as a local Cambodian NGO, CHC is governed by an independent BOD and receives funding from grants (private and governmental and philanthropic donations).

CHC is looking for qualified and competitive Cambodians to fulfill various positions under funding by the Global Fund grant (2021-2023) as the following;

Community System Strengthening Coordinators (12 Positions)

  1. Prey Veng Province (Kampong Trabek, Peam Chhor, Kanchriech ) ODs.
  2. Kampong Cham Province (Srey Santhor, Kampong Cham Kampong Siem, Chamkar Leu) ODs.
  3. Tbong Khmum Province ( Punhea Krek, Tbong Khmum, Memut, Kroch Chhmar) ODs.
  4. Rattanak Kiri Province (Ban Lung OD)
  5. Mondul Kiri Province (Sen Monorum OD)
Duties
  • Play roles as the CHC grass-root level coordination to build positive relationships with PHD, OD, referral hospitals and health centers to make sure the suspected TB cases and patients access to and receive the quality of TB services.
  • Monitor, supervise, facilitate and coordinate Community TB-DOTS activities with HC staff, VHSG, C-DOTS Watchers and Communities.
  • Prepare and submit the monthly workplan and budget plan to TB Program Manager for activities with health centers and community structures (VHSGs and C-DOTS Watchers) to conduct the program activities.
  • Organize and participate training, meetings with OD, health centers, community structures and community to advocate to improve the program implementation.
  • Schedule, organize, coordinate meetings, events, training sessions, interviews, appointments, travel arrangements, conferences, and activities as requested ensure electronic calendar is coordinated and up-to-date
  • Build the capacity to the HCs, VHSGs and C-DOTS Watchers and communities through HC and community meetings, education, awareness and other events and identify the suspected TB cases and refer to the health facilities for further assessment.
  • Assist the health centers and communities to identify the problems, investigation and identify the appropriate solutions to solve the problems to improve the TB activities in community and at the health facility level.
  • Management Information System of Health Center and OD level (MIS) through monthly TB data collection from the health facilities and communities, data entry, analysis and use to improve the TB plan and activities.
Requirements
  • Medical background (preferable Medical Assistant or Nurse and Midwife) and other health equivalent experiences.
  • Knowledge on Tuberculosis, TB/HIV/AIDS, community health development and at least 2 years working on TB and TB/HIV/AIDS projects at the health facility and community level, training, and behavior change communication, health center strengthening for management and clinical.
  • Experiences in working with Global Fund
  • Able to perform critical thinking, planning, problem solving, monitoring, evaluation of the projects.
  • Able to work independently with less supervision
  • Strong interpersonal relationships with beneficiaries, other team members and managers.
  • Able to work with support and coordinate effectively with government, and community partners.
  • English Language Skills (can write, speak and listen)
  • Use proficiently in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Khmer Unicode version.
 

Hospital Linkage Site Coordinators (18 Positions)

Duties
  • Play roles as the CHC coordination to build positive relationships and linkage with PHD, OD/RH and health centers to make sure the suspected TB cases and patients access to and receive the quality of TB services.
  • Coordinate, plan, implement and monitor the project activities and provide technical assistance to Hospital chief wards and staff.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and chief wards and advocate to relevant stakeholders including the health center staff to ensure that the project objectives and indicators are met.
  • Ensure knowledge and information management, learning and communication on project related matters in responsible areas.
  • Proactively identify linkages/integration among related services, other national programs and related stakeholders in respected program areas.
  • Organize and conduct the training, meetings with hospital director, hospital chief wards, provincial TB supervisor and staff to identify the suspected TB cases and refer to appropriate services for further assessment and examination and treatment.
  • Management Information System (MIS) of Hospital level through monthly data collection from the hospital services and wards, analysis and use the data to improve the TB plan and activities
  • Coordinate with the Provincial Health Department (PHD), Provincial Hospital and or Referral Hospital and NGOs in the program areas, collaboration, problem solving, attending the alternative meeting at the provincial level and assist hospital staff to solve their problems, report the problems, results of the problems solving and sharing the information among the team, hospital director, chief wards and others in the program.
