Department/Group: SDC

Purpose

The Head of Product Support oversee all aspects of the product life cycle and customer support for all products published by SDC.

The Head of Product Support ensure that all products at SDC are consistently maintained, continuously improved and work as intended for users and clients.

The Head of Product Support is directly responsible for the development and implementation of operational strategies and provide timely recommendations and input into wider SDC strategies in relation to products published by SDC.

Leading a multi-disciplinary team (Product Support Department), the Head of Product Support oversee deployment of new products, development and upgrade of existing products, performance monitoring, and customer support for all products in coordination with internal product teams, supporting departments and/or external suppliers.

Duties
  • Stay up to date about the market in Cambodia and the wider SEA region to anticipate and respond to change in the market with regards to products published by SDC to ensure our products stay competitive;
  • Research and provide recommendations on new opportunities relevant to SDC;
  • Increase users’ satisfaction with the range of products provided by SDC as well as their experience using published products;
  • Develop indicators to monitor and analyze user behavior of SDC products; Liaise with other colleagues to implement systems for collecting data on user behavior;
  • Develop and ensure consistent application of processes and procedures for product deployment, updates and testing;
  • Ensure customer support is able to resolve user issues that arise from using SDC products and coordinate with product developer to provide user feedback and bug reports;
  • Lead, support and manage the performance of direct report including recruitment, induction, and objective setting, monitoring KPIs, establishing professional development plans, mentoring and coaching.
  • Coordinate with other teams internal and external to ensure operation of the products will be to the highest satisfaction of users in alignment with company goals;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by line manager.
Requirements
  • Appropriate degree qualifications in business, management or related discipline, or equivalent business experience
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience including proven experience in application publishing and product life cycle management
  • Aptitude in critical inquiry, decision-making and problem-solving
  • Proficient in analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in multi-cultural and linguistically diverse settings (Khmer, English, Chinese)
  • High level of clear written and oral communication skills, working with ESL (English Second Language) stakeholders
  • Languages: Proficient in spoken and written English. Chinese and/or Khmer language skills a bonus.
 

QA Developer

Reporting Line: Software Development Manager

Purpose

The QA Developer design documents and implement software testing procedure to effectively test all in-house developed software projects to ensure the software is working as intended and specified in the project goals.

The QA Developer will review the automated testing codes written by developers to ensure sufficient code coverage and delivers the right tests to ensure functionality as specified in the project goals.

The QA Developer will design test scenario, setup continuous testing, run test and ensure positive test results before deployment.

Duties
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Lead test strategy of assigned projects to ensure the quality of products
  • Conduct software automated testing processes for unit, system, end to end integration test, data flow and customer experience test and product release sign-off
  • Review requirement and design test plan and scripts
  • Define necessary test automation, design automation flow, share implementation effort with software engineer
  • Drive the velocity of product development together with scrum team
  • Recommend for improvements to the testing processes
  • Maintain version control and update schedule for major software used in projects
  • Coach developers on automated unit and system testing
  • Ensure quality practice of assigned scrum team using agile methodology
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Development:
  • Implement Continuous Testing pipeline into Gitlab CI/CD
  • Ensure testing will be automated as much as possible
  • Maintain base/core container image to ensure that security benchmarks are met and the latest stable, minimal OS and approved dependencies are used
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with 1 year leading team
  • Knowledge in at least two of the preferred programming language - PHP, Ruby, Go, Javascript
  • Experience and knowledge with web and mobile application development
  • Experience with designing test plans and scripts
  • Experience with automated testing, unit testing, integration testing
  • Experience integrating testing into continuous testing pipeline would be a plus
  • Deep knowledge of testing tools such as Selenium, Mocha, Jest, PHP Unit
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate the team and collaborate with developers
 

Backend Developer

Purpose

The Backend Developer develop new technologies as well as enhance existing technology to support our enterprise-grade backends. The Backend Developer will have exposure to a range of technologies including NodeJS, Blockchain, MongoDB, Clickhouse. This role actively involved in developing efficient, testable and maintainable microservice as well as integrate various technologies in search of a perfect commercial solution to the business needs.

Scope: the Backend Developer work on development and enhancement of the backend that drives our enterprise-grade customer facing mobile and web applications.

Duties
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using software development best practices.
  • Design and develop backends that serve enterprise-grade customer facing mobile and web apps.
  • Design and implement low-latency, high-availability and performant Microservices with strong security.
  • Integration data from various backend services and databases such as MongoDB, MySQL or Clickhouse database.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle of the core product and sub-product sets.
  • Take ownership and ensure high quality and timely delivery of developments in accordance with plans.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in backend or fullstack development, preferably NodeJS
  • Passionate to grow and keen interest in learning new technologies (such as ReactJS, ExpressJS, MongoDB, Blockchain, RabbitMQ, Docker, etc)
  • Familiarity with automated testing or TDD development process
  • Sound understanding of REST API and implementing security measure
  • Solid knowledge in data structures, algorithm and OO Design
  • Solid knowledge in system security, data protection, user authentication and authorization between multiple systems
  • Solid knowledge of relational database and/or NoSQL database

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications, PWA using trending frontend technology such as React, VueJS, AngularJS.

Ecommerce Business Associate

Report Line: Ecommerce Project Manager

Purpose

The Ecommerce Business Associate collaborate with numerous internal and external stakeholders in the development and success of Sabay’s online commerce services as the go-to online shop for Cambodians. Through a window of discovery which provide a curated selection of highly desirable products, consumers will actively search Sabay shopping platforms which convert to online sales. The Ecommerce Business Associate cultivate effective relationships with merchants to ensure the smooth and prompt supply of products available for purchase on Sabay platforms.

Duties
  • Research into products and audience insights to increase conversion into sales
  • Analyze competitive landscape, market trends and insights about products e.g. offerings and pricing, audiences/consumer attitudes, competitor offerings and experience etc.
  • Identify and curate products that are appealing to consumers.
  • Inspect the quality of products on a routine basis and random spot checks to ensure that products meet consumer expectations.
  • Monitor sales trends and consumer preferences to determine which products are more popular than others or how product options should be adjusted.
  • Seek management approval for products and pricing based on
  • Liaise with SDC development staff to design, maintain and improve Shop.sabay website and app so that consumer visit the platforms to browse or look for products
  • Update website and apps with product description and information that is accurate, relevant and persuasive to consumers
  • Use social media and other avenues to drive consumers to experience the platform as a shopping venue
  • Make recommendations to management on
  • Approach and educate potential merchants to introduce and about the benefits of product placement on Sabay platforms
  • Meet with merchants to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
  • Assess and select merchants for management approval based on their
  • Draft contract and other agreements with merchants
  • Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with merchants in order that orders are filled quickly and accurately
  • Confirm orders and pass to E-Cam promptly and accurately
  • Prepare regular reports for management including:

Requirements
  • Appropriate degree qualifications and/or professional experience in marketing, advertising, logistics, or a related discipline. Bonus: Prior experience or interest in Ecommerce or online/digital marketing
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
  • In depth understanding of Cambodian market and consumers, especially what they want and willingness to pay
  • Track record of delivering results on time and with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple competing demands, people and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable service and people oriented approach, eager to find workable solutions and make constructive recommendations on improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and English. Bonus: Chinese
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Proven Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software. Bonus: Previous experience using social media analysis and online tools (e.g. Search Engine Optimisation etc) and other messaging and management software (e.g. Slack,)
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of regular hours on occasion on evenings and weekends. Sabay offers Leave in Lieu for hours worked
