Candidate will supervise payments to makers, purchasing of raw materials, care and labeling of finished product before shipping, and help to ensure product is made to specific measurements and standards. Candidate will be expected to develop positive and caring relationships with all staff and makers and communicate regularly with our main offices in Phnom Penh and the United States as necessary.
Baskets of (Cambodia) Co., LTD is in need of a main accountant to work in our pleasant rural setting just 15 minutes from Siem Reap. In addition to accounting, candidate will also help to direct and supervise other business activities. Responsibilities can be challenging but are easily learned.
Candidate will supervise and oversee payments to makers, purchasing of raw materials, track inventory and labeling of finished products for accurate shipping. Our workers in the countryside include over 100 basket weavers, seamsters, producers working from home and depend n our supporting staff.
This job has the potential for growth and employee ownership options as we expand from our main location in the USA to other countries throughout the world. All our products are naturally sourced. This is a great opportunity for a person who appreciates handmade crafts and who also fully respects and admires those people who make them. This also includes occasional visits to their villages through Pouk and Siem Reap District.
Schedule: Full time 8-5 Monday-Friday also flexible on Saturdays
Holidays: All major holidays KNY, Pchum Benh, Water Festival, Chinese New Year
Upon approval, these holidays are substituted for future time off when longer vacation breaks are desired.
Reports to: Director and Serves staff onsite
Monthly Salary $600 + Negotiable

After slowing down during Covid and with developing high tariffs in the US, BOC is anxious to serve other interested business contacts overseas and restart operations worldwide.
