Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) - For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.
Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country with the Cambodians and thus supports sustainable development.
Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.
PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 6,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program graduates have already successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position. PSE employs more than 650 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarters in France. 400 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known through fundraising donations and sponsorships.
In 2000, PSE received the French Human Rights Prize from the French Republic.

Serve as Manager of the school, in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, as well as managing budgets, in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.
Duties
- Missions :
- Strategy of the content taught inside PSE Film school, always make sure the contents taught inside Film School are relevant to the market needs
- School Development: look for opportunities of new trainings, new skills, new pedagogy to make sure Film School is connected to PSE beneficiaries. Develop and maintain good relationships/communication with the Cambodian Market (companies) and with our foreigner’s partners and European donors.
- Curriculum development: build lessons, look for experts’ support, find partners
- Staff management: training, motivating, guiding, supporting, assessing, recruiting
- Ensure the success of the students in their studies: follow up, support slow learners
- Budget management: make sure the school has enough budget to run their operations and purchase equipment
- Infrastructure & Equipment: make sure the school has the necessary needs in terms of infrastructure and equipment to run their operations, staying within the reality of the budget
- Project management: select the projects to which the school will participate, prioritizing the benefits for Film School and/or their students
- Administrative work: report the school activities and actions to PSE management, annual reports, join PSE meetings,
- Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain good level of quality assurance,
- Problem solving: find solutions to the everyday life problems
- Communication: promote PSE through audiovisual coverage of event happening inside PSE, make PSE shine through significant public actions such as festivals, news, social media contents
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or master degree in Film, Communication, Education, Business Administration, or any other relevant fields
- 3 to 5-year experience in managing teams, especially in Education/Schooling sides
- Very good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Very Good English level (French is a plus)
- Knowledge of MS Office, Google Applications and e-communication
- Very good in planning, follow up, organizing and coordinating

Staff management: Manage Chinese teachers team
Problem solving: This position will deal with
- staff and student’s issues (classroom management, student behavioural and learning progress, students, parents, and teachers relation, students’ discipline, teachers 'performance)
Communication:
- Work closely with the optional program manager and pedagogy manager to make sure that the programs, teachers’ performance and students’ learning can run smoothly;
- Deal with HR to recruite both local and expatriate volunteers to suppport the team;
- Work with Manager to communicate with other departments to support in the daily operation/performance
Budget management: NA
Duties
- Assess the results and adapt the educational and pedagogical material
- Develop assessment tools & exam tools for student
- Work with manager and pedagogy to develop assessment tools for teachers ( recruitment , evolution)
- Monitor the implementation of the educational and pedagogical material in the school
- Evaluate and re-adjust the educational and pedagogical material if necessary
- Develop the teacher capacity building:
- Follow-up the teachers by conducting the class observation in order to evaluate the training processes and effects
- Program Operations Management:
- Monitor for the quality of the Chinese program activities –
- Ensure the student recruitment projection for Chinese classes with GE and PSEI
- Manage the staff’s daily/annual performance
- Promote teamwork and professional ethics

- Monitor the daily teachers’ performance, checking the quality of teacher’s administration works, evaluation from Pedagogy department,….)
- Manage the class replacement and teachers’ attendance

- Teach consistently high quality lessons in line with the designated school curriculum by using a variety of pedagogical techniques of student centered approach and assessment methods, and give feedback to students– assignments, quizzes, tests;
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, plan and deliver schemes of work and lessons that meet the requirements record/report for teaching/class administration;
- Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in the major field by ensuring a high quality learning environment;
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school procedures by encouraging good practice with punctuality, professional behavior and responsibility and provide basic counseling to slow learners or learners with discipline problems by inspiring an active self-learning both in school and community;
- Cooperate with the team to substitute for any leave in order not to let the students stay in the class without teachers which can affect the consequence of the course;
- Update professional knowledge and expertise to keep up to date with development in teaching practice, methodology and the curriculum area of the school.

S/h responsible for enabling children with disabilities to access special education, develop skills for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and participate effectively in society. This role includes providing rehabilitation services, supporting students with disabilities, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with PSE policies and procedures. The Physiotherapist will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve accessibility, deliver treatments, and provide training.
Duties
- Budget and Resource Monitoring
- Monitor and manage the budget that need to be spent base on plan and approval.
- Request, track, and ensure the quality and safety of materials.
- Participate in budget planning and monthly expense tracking and report it properly
- Patient Care and Rehabilitation
- Assess and treat patients based on doctor’s prescriptions.
- Assess and provide rehabilitation services within PSE and in the community.
- Solve a problem, educate and motivate parents to support treatment plans.
- Re-assess to student deformity at least once per year.
- Facilitate hospital or rehabilitation center referrals when necessary.
- Report on recommendation of Hospital to doctor of PSE and Manager
- Assistive Devices and Accessibility
- Train and assess to students and parents on proper use and maintenance of assistive devices.
