We are seeking an experienced Inspector to join our Commodity Inspections team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sampling, inspection, and supervision of different commodities. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in various environments. Duties
  • Conduct inspections of commodities, including agricultural products, minerals, and other goods, to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Perform sampling and testing of commodities to determine quality and quantity.
  • Supervise loading and unloading operations to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographic documentation, and submit them to clients and management.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to address any issues or concerns related to inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and related activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity inspection or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, sampling methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
