The CAPFISH-Capture: Post-harvest Fisheries Development project is part of the CAPFISH-Capture component of the "Cambodia Programme for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in the Fisheries Sector" co-funded by the European Union (EU). The overall objective of the programme is to contribute to the achievement of the Royal Government of Cambodia's long-term vision of social and economic development, food security, and poverty reduction. It is in this framework that the CAPFISH-Capture: Post-harvest Fisheries Development project is designed with the specific objective of contributing to the development of post-harvest fisheries through upgrading the regulatory and institutional system, as well as the adoption of better practices by the private sector.
The CAPFISH-Capture: Post-harvest Fisheries Development project aims at inclusive post-harvest fisheries value chain development focusing on strengthening the institutional capacity of the Competent Authority (CA) for establishing official control systems and subsequently supporting the upgrading of post-harvest fisheries businesses through capacity building, food safety system implementation, matching investment support and providing business support mechanisms.
UNIDO is delegated by EU and the Fisheries Administration (FiA) to implement CAPFISH Capture - Post Harvest Fisheries Development project with respect to the following outputs:

Scope of the proposed contracted services
The contractor is expected to collaborate with the UNIDO CAPFish project team to conduct a mixed-method (semi-quantitative) market demand analysis for laboratory and food testing services needed by Food Business Operators (FBOs) in Cambodia. This analysis requires the collection of data regarding the quantity of samples tested annually, the nature of the testing (parameters), and the annual cost of the tests.
