Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, consolidate, and reviews the business plan of micro-insurance;
  • Be accountable for achieving defined target objectives in respect of sales, market penetration, and business growth to be align with company’s business direction, achieving the company’s sales and profitability targets.
  • Includes a strong focus on bringing in new business and managing broker/agency and direct sales channels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agencies, and direct sales teams to drive business growth.
  • Closely monitor the actual achievement compared to business plan and provide support to sale team to achieve sale targets.
  • Establish operational process to meet high business performance standards with regards to productivity and quality of service delivery and ultimately internal and external customer’s satisfaction;
  • Develop, Manager, Design, build and manage multi-channel distribution including partnership distribution, agency, brokers, alternative, corporation, and retail insurance.
  • Understand internal/external partner and customer needs, establishing credibility and building positive relationships.
  • Lead, plan and execute business initiatives strategies, including differentiated products, services and customer segmentation to leverage sale volume;
  • Act as lead client-care officer through direct contract with every client and partner
  • Define and implement measurement strategies that align with client marketing and business objectives.
  • Collect/ update and analyze required information relating to competitors, and clients’ feedback/ concerns using Competition Matrices, and Client’s Satisfaction Surveys on a regular basis in order to update sale and distribution strategies;
  • Develop effective promotion and client retention strategy to stay competitive in the field;
  • Develop and implements marketing and branding strategies;
  • Institute measures to create popular awareness of the products and services;
  • Continuously monitor and analyze brand, competitive, and customer trends to enhance Serendib’s brand equity and marketplace performance;
  • Take lead in product development related to non-captive products/policies;
  • Perform other tasks assigned by CEO.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Banking/Finance, Business Management or related
  • disciplines;
  • At least five-year experience in managing sales and marketing of insurance products;
  • Strong communication and initiatives;
  • Good working knowledge of computer software;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Khmer;

Assistant to CEO (Closed)

Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Translation:
  • Interprets/translates documents such as correspondences, policy documents, reports, and others from Khmer to English and English to Khmer.
  • Checks original texts or confers with authors to ensure that translations retain the content, meaning, and feeling of the original material.
  • Checks translation for technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and that they remain consistent throughout translation revisions.
  • Proofreads, edits, and revises translated materials.
  • Administration:
  • Work with Company Secretary to hold and keep safe of all documents both in soft and hard copy.
  • Consolidate meeting agendas and take minutes in various management team and committee meetings.
  • Work with Company Secretary to consolidate department reports when needed.
  • Provide administrative support to CEO such as proper filing of key documents, sort incoming and outgoing documents for CEO.
  • Prepare speech for CEO in press conference and events.
  • Prepare reports, memos, and other documents assigned by the CEO.

  • Work with Company Secretary to arrange visitor appointment schedules.

  • Legal & Compliance Works
  • Participating in some event related to legal and other compliance agenda
  • Produce monthly management legal & compliance progress from the newly parkas, regulators to CEO, Advisors and Board
  • Support legal works and other compliance tasks assigned by CEO
  • Work closely with all relevant ministries, regulators, and other sources of trust information to ensure our company comply with latest new rule of law & regulation
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by CEO.
  • Management Reporting
  • Produce monthly comprehensive reporting to assist CEO
  • Keep confidentiality of all documents related to the company and update the progress from time to time
  • Manage administration/reports by documenting/ classified types of business documentations at management requirement.
  • Collecting monthly management report from each head of department and submit to CEO/advisor
  • Meeting Arrangement & Business Calendar

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, IT or, a related field.
  • At least two years’ experience in project coordination, UAT, or business analysis within life insurance or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in UAT methodologies, hand-on testing, project management, and familiarity with insurance system and processes.

Legal & Compliance Officer

Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Review Serendib’s Board and shareholder resolutions to ensure it is valid and legal binding.
  • Update management and relevant department on any changes of law and regulations related to MDI business such as NBC regulations, land law, contract law international business law, labor law, etc,
  • Provide training to Serendib staff on laws related topics.
  • Update management and Board of Director on legal affairs and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Work with relevant departments to ensure that Serendib policies and practices comply with related laws and regulation.
  • Work with HR department to ensure that staff disciplinary action and termination are in compliance with labor law.
  • Facilitate legal actions with lawyer on any court case procedures.
  • Review existing and new legal related documents and contracts such as loan agreement with clients and employment contract to ensure they are valid and legal binding and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Take lead in processing for licenses, patent tax and other letters with government authorities when required.
  • Review all outgoing letters to government authorities to ensure it is appropriate and follow administrative procedure and standards.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by CEO/Head of Department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor/Master Degree  in law or equivalent.
  • 03-year experiences dealing with legal and compliance issues, experience with MI, MDI, Insurance or bank’s legal department is preferred.
  • Very good knowledge from MFI, MDI or bank related laws such as NBC regulations, land law, contract law, and international business law.
  • Good English skill for both verbal and written communication.
  • With good strong analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and abilities to work in a team environment.
