Founded in 2013 by a French-Belgian couple, La Plantation is an internationally recognized Cambodian company that produces high quality Kampot pepper and spices. The company has also developed an agro-tourism project based in Kampot (southern Cambodia), which aims to immerse visitors in the world of spices by showing them the production site and the specific know-how practiced.

La Plantation Kampot attracts nearly 50,000 international visitors each year. The site offers various activities: guided tours (in French, English or Khmer), a sales shop, a traditional restaurant, cooking classes, a botanical garden, a bed & breakfast guesthouse and a new bar that will open in October 2024

To complete our “tourism team” of 20 people, La Plantation is looking for new staff for the following positions:

Announcement Positions

Receptionist

Workplace Circumstances

Position Summary

CONTRACT

1 day-off/week during the high season (15/10 – 15/04) + public holidays 2 days-off/week during the low season (15/04 – 15/10) + public holidays From 8:00am to 5:00pm (lunch break included)

SALARY

  • A fix salary (according to experience and education)
  • Monthly bonus on sales
  • Breakfast + Lunch on site
  • Tips from the visitors
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Wecoming visitors, checking bookings, explaining activities on site
Requirements:
  • A good level of English is required to communicate with international visitors,
  • Confident and reliable,
  • Willing to learn and develop skills
  • With a strong and positive energy to work in a team
 

Bar Staff

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To welcome guests and inform them about our different activities and products
  • To lead a guided tour in english with small groups of visitors to describe our project and the pepper
  • To help to prepare the shop and the reception and to keep it clean
  • To do cashier at the reception or at the shop
Requirements:
  • Well presenting man or woman, smiling and in a positive mood
  • Able to manage different things at the same time.
  • Good communication skills in Khmer and English.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and team spirit.
  • Interest in our project, our products, and Cambodian culture.
  • Initial experience (internship or job) in tourism and hospitality is a plus.
