Affiliated Network for Social Accountability-Cambodia is a local non-profit and independent NGO founded in 2015 that works to fight corruption, promote human welfare, and protect the rights of citizens through promoting good governance. ANSA Cambodia specializes in Social Accountability (SAc) approaches to achieve these goals, and promotes the application of SAc tools in local communities by community members to strengthen the relationship between citizens and their government. Social Accountability (SAc) is defined as citizens’ constructive engagement with government in monitoring the use of public resources to assert right to better service deliveries, community welfare, and well-being. Through social accountability, people can work together to promote the evidence based advocacy, shared responsibilities of Government and its citizens, result and solution oriented, sustained and sustainable engagement in order to build a trust worthiness.
