Position Summary

Department: Academy

Report to: Academy Head Coach and Club Management

Working Time: Mon-Fri (08:00-17:30) & Sat (08:00-12:00)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and implement welfare policies and procedures in accordance with the club's values and regulatory standards.
Provide care and support to academy players, including counseling, advice, and guidance on personal and social issues.
Conduct risk assessments and safeguarding checks to ensure the safety and well-being of academy players
Liaise with parents, guardians, and external agencies to address any welfare concerns or issues affecting academy players.
Act as a point of contact for academy players and their families, offering support and assistance as needed.
Keep accurate records and documentation related to welfare matters, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Collaborate with coaching staff and other academy personnel to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for player development.
Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in welfare and child protection, ensuring the academy operates in accordance with legal requirements.
Serve as a point of contact during emergencies or crises involving players, providing support and assistance as needed

Requirements:

Education & Qualification
Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, education, or a related field.
Good understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the demands of the role
Work Experience
Experience working in a welfare
Experience working with children
