with Teuk Saat 1001 ORG.
Teuk Saat 1001 is a Cambodian registered NGO providing access to Safe and Affordable drinking water in rural areas.
We set up small decentralized water production units, called water kiosks, in partnership with provincial and local authorities. Communes provide for free and indefinitely a plot of land and access to a water source, and in exchange, they get the ownership of the building once the activity starts.
As of December 2023, Teuk Saat 1001 enables almost 1,000,724 people to drink safe water every day across 18 provinces. This performance is achieved thanks to the work of 981 local entrepreneurs and their operators running 327 water kiosks, reaching around 24% of the Cambodian rural population.
O-we water is the largest bottled water brand in rural Cambodia, with more than 219 million liters distributed in 2023.

Mission
To support safe drinking water sector to rural communities by applying social entrepreneurship model.
Objectives
To reach 400 kiosks by 2025, in at least 20 provinces of Cambodia, with 1.5 million beneficiaries.
Description of the water treatment plant
The water kiosk model we implement is able to provide durably affordable safe drinking water. Our solution offers a unique combination of three characteristics: (i) water quality at WHO standards provided up to the point of consumption; (ii) affordability for the most vulnerable populations thanks to a decentralized approach reducing the costs; and (iii) sustainability of the services through a market-based model supported by the social franchise. Each water kiosk set up is entrusted to local entrepreneurs, who treat, produce safe water and deliver at their consumer’s home 20L bottles of water. This valuable service guarantees the water quality to the end-users and saves valuable time for women and children generally in charge of water collection.
The final product is a 20L bottle format sold under the registered brand ‘’O-we’’.
Purpose of bidding
Water Kiosk is the building for producing safe drinking water ‘’O-we’’ for the rural communities in Cambodia.
