Morodok is a local non-government organization, registered with the Ministry of Interior since 4 April 2011, and working in Sre Ambel district, Koh Kong province, and surrounding areas. Morodok’s mission is “To improve living conditions, strengthen solidarity and create ownership for the poor people in the coastal communities of Cambodia through building their capacity, supporting their initiatives and facilitating dialogue between relevant actors.” Morodok’s works in close cooperation with commune councils, technical officials, provincial authorities, and community groups.
Morodok is receiving support from FELM, an agency of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, for a four-year project to improve livelihoods, reduce food insecurity, and to support climate change adaptation (CCA) and mitigation (CCM) and disaster risk management (DRM) in 8 coastal communes surrounding Kampong Som Bay.
Morodok is seeking a consultant to identify the major climate change risks and disaster risks management in the project area, to advise local communities and commune councils on mitigation strategies, and to produce community awareness raising materials on CCA/CCM and DRM.
The consultancy shall be conducted sometime between 1 March and 12 April and require no more than 20 person-workdays. The work shall be carried out mainly onsite in Sre Ambel and surrounding areas.
