National Internship

The “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit” - GIZ - is a German public-benefit federal enterprise owned by the German Government. As a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, GIZ supports the German Government, mainly through the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) but also with other international commissioning parties, by implementing projects in the areas including economic development and employment promotion, energy and environment, peace and security with its development partners in more than 100 countries around the world.

In Cambodia, GIZ has worked with the Government of Cambodia starting 1994 to strengthen social protection and health, agri-food systems, sustainable economic development, good governance, and peaceful communities under the respect of climate change. In addition to this, there are several special global, regional, and sectoral programs with activities in Cambodia. GIZ Cambodia employs more than 270 professionals including around 230 national staff. The GIZ Country Office in Phnom Penh is in charge of the overall GIZ project portfolio, it provides support in procurement and facility management, financial management and administration, human resources, among others to the projects in the country.

For the GIZ Country Office in Phnom Penh, we are currently seeking Cambodian candidates for a full-time internship position for a period of six (6) months from September 01, 2023, to February 29, 2024, to be assigned in our Procurement and Contracting Unit. The work schedule will be Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
