Consultancy to Conducting Training Need Assessment and Developing Training Manual (Teacher Aid) and Supported Resources

Internet connectivity in Cambodia has gradually increased. A recent study on the Disrupting Harm in Cambodia, more than 80% of Cambodia children aged 12 to 17-years are internet users, with higher prevalent use amongst older children. They are largely unaware of the risks and harms of Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA).

Prevention and protection have become as the priorities for related stakeholders. In recent finding, teachers are found as both primary and preferred source of education for children and engaging them in dissemination key messages is a critical mean; thus, preparing teaching materials encompass the various manifestation of OCSEA can foster safe and preventing risks.

In 2021, NCCT and Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), successfully developed 2 manuals, entitled "Prevention of Anti-Human Trafficking" for primary and secondary schools, which partially provides the concept of OCSEA to incorporate into school curriculum.

Within the above important resources, while seeing alike objective, Action Pour Les Enfant (APLE), collaborated with the Department of Legislation conducting training activities and mentoring activities and result as initial notification that the need of additional teaching aids, and supported visual materials (slides, posters) were notice to be produced. To address the above-mentioned requirement, APLE, funded by UNICEF Cambodia, is recruiting consultancy to “Conducting Need Assessment and Developing Training manual (Teaching Aids) and Supported Resources”.
