CRS returned to Cambodia in 1991 and works in close partnership with government, local NGOs and international NGOs in the sectors of health and education. CRS’ head office is located in Phnom Penh.

Job Summary:

You will implement HIV project activities by working directly with local partners and community members in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) as well as work cross cutting with other projects of CRS to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your service and community interpersonal skills contribute to projects that benefit local communities that consistently applies best practices and continuously works towards improving its impact.

Duties
  • Support new case detection
  • Community Active Counselor and Inter-communication (CACIC), in close collaboration with FBW and ART team at the facility, conduct index case tracing among PLHIV by offering PNTT services following the national latest SOP.
  • Support newly diagnosed with HIV
  • CACIC works with ART team to provide counseling to newly diagnosed HIV-positive patients
  • Support the retention in care and treatment
  • CACIC supports for PLHIV regarding to counselling at ART site for improving PNTT, ART adherence and retention in care particularly women and adolescent
  • CACIC provides online counseling/emotional support to Index cases, PLHIV, and other ARV users, 2) providing online answers to questions of ARV users on ARV drug, and 3) sharing information on PLHIV movement (example change address, ART sites, other status) to relevant NGOs or ART services.
  • CACIC interviews PLHIV to get HEF card
  • CACIC follows up the data and information on drug delivery at the prevention NGOs
  • CACIC produces the monthly report for NCHADS and CRS
  • CACIC provide supervision and other support to FBW at his/her ART site level
  • CACIC educates PLHIV about the importance of having regular viral load and CD4 test
  • CACIC supports to FBW/CAW in developing and/or updating the contact list of PLHIV in their coverage site
  • CACIC supports FBW and ART team to assess and update the list of stable and greatest need PLHIV in the coverage site (base on the standard guideline of CAA SoP)
  • CACIC provides individual or group education/counseling session on HIV/STI transmission-prevention, TB, SRH, PMTCT, PNTT, ART adherence and viral load testing, and promotion of immediate ART initiation (Treat All).
  • CACIC works with FBW and CMA at ART site to update the list of PLHIV miss appointment or who have lost-to-follow-up (LTFU) on bi-weekly basis
  • CACIC Works with other CRS project to follow up miss-appointment and lost to follow up cases for bring them back to services
  • CACIC works with FBW to explore for and make/update list of PLHIV who have poor adherence and for those with the detectable viral load to provide them with proper adherence counseling (EAC) and follow-up arrangement
  • CACIC follows up closely with provide counseling to those who confirmed failure treatment and have switched to second- or third-line regimen to leverage the adherence situation.
  • CACIC Develops a quarterly work plan for their own tasks and send to supervisor
  • CACIC attends regular GOC meeting at OD level
  • CACIC attends necessary training to improve performance
  • CACIC collects feedback from PLHIV and report to supervisor and ART team
  • CACIC records all necessary information using designed form and report to supervisor
Requirements
  • Have experience in the health-related project especially related to counseling and education at ART facility at least 2 years up.
  • Have good interpersonal communication and collaboration with health care providers especially ART team.
  • Had education at grade 12 up.
  • Have strong commitment to work under pressure.
  • Have commitments to get extra-work when it needs.
