Announcement Positions

Midwife (5 Positions)

Reporting to: Midwife and Nurse Team Leader

Probationary Period: Three (3) Months

Midwife – provide comfort, care and support for women during pregnancy, assist the doctor to help the delivery go smoothly, and give care/encourage for mother during early postnatal period. She will also assist the gynecology patient alongside with the doctor during their checkup and input the patient information into the hospital system to ensure smooth operational flow.

Duties
  • Monitor and examine women during pregnancy, labor, and early postnatal period
  • Give advice/recommendations to the new parents on breastfeeding and other best practices
  • Monitor vital signs of the patient
  • Prepare and ensure that all the instruments needed for the operation is ready
  • Identify high risk pregnancies and transfer information to the doctor
  • Take care and provide support to the mother after delivery including fluid injection and wound checkup
  • Prepare patient documents and update patient records into system
  • Control sub stock of the necessary medicine/items needed
  • Contact patients regarding their lab results
  • Assist doctor during checkup and consultation
  • Answer and resolve maternity issues with pregnant women
  • Perform physical examinations, measure vital statistics, take blood and other tests
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Midwifery/Nursery or equal qualification,
  • Experience of being a midwife/nurse is encouraged,
  • Experience in health care or hospital, and client database is highly desired,
  • Skills and Experience:
  • Must pay close attention to patient condition,
  • Good listener
  • Good communication skills,
  • Empathetic, passionate and calm under pressure
  • Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions promptly,

Patient Care Supervisor

Reporting to: Director and Deputy Director of Medical Services

Probationary Period: Three (3) Months

Patient Care Supervisor is the second highest position among patient care providers (nurses and midwives). They will work as a center point between patients, care providers and management. The main task is to ensure the best quality in patient care provision by strictly aligning to the Hospital Policy and standard of operation (SOP).

Patient care manager provides leadership, influences others to meet patient needs and achieve shared goals, effectively prioritizes system resources, promotes cooperative behaviors, acts as a role model, resources, and mentor.

Duties
  • Management scope of work
  • In charge of documentation and reports: IPD files, delivery record, medicine inventory, supplies inventory, insurance.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of all nurses and midwives in both clinical performance and disciplinary acts to ensure a high level of patient care.
  • Provide training and coaching to new and/or existing staff to ensure compliance.
  • Represent ORCHID in public events regarding patient care.
  • To work across operational/medical units are required to ensure smooth client flows.
  • To participate in morning and/or daily briefing of client’s situation managers.
  • Problem solving:
  • Clients’ complaints
  • Conflicts within and cross teams
  • Clinical issues
  • Documentation issues
  • Disciplinary issues
  • Servicing issues
  • Risk management in patient care issues
  • Will undertake any other given priority tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Clinical scope of work:
  • Develop SOP about patient care for all departments
  • In charge of parenting classes
  • Assist in any station as required
  • Provide clinical, administrative, and servicing training to patient care staff.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in healthcare including nursing, midwifery or related field,With hands-on 2-3 years of industry experience in healthcare network and patient care scheduling or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
