The European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia is a not-for-profit organisation funded by the European Union. Our mandate is to enhance trade and investment relations between EU Member States and Cambodia through a range of advocacy initiatives, outreach activities, and business support services. We are seeking applications from individuals with a highly analytical mindset and excellent writing and research skills to become our Junior Market Research Analyst. This position sits between the business and political spheres and will involve supporting the entry of European companies into the market and supporting the EuroCham team in representing the interests of the European business community vis-à-vis the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Reporting

The Jnr. Market Research Analyst reports directly to the Deputy Director in charge of Services, under the overall authority of the Executive Director.

Position Summary

The Jnr. Market Research Analyst focuses specifically on providing information which aims to support European businesses interested in entering the Cambodian market. She or he will be principally responsible for gathering and interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations to clients based upon the research findings. The role will also include a business development function, whereby the successful applicant will support the identification of new project leads, and the development competitive proposals to secure those projects. We aim to be able to provide services to clients from a broad range of industries. To accomplish this task, the Junior Market Research Analyst works with the Business Services Manager to develop relationships across as extensive a network as possible so as to position the team as ‘only one step removed’ from relevant information about any sector.

Duties
  • Business Services (60%)
  • Supporting revenue-generating business support services from sales through to delivery;
  • Supporting business development; Identifying potential project leads and developing competitive proposals for publicly tendered consultancy assignments
  • Developing and maintaining strong networks within the business community and other key stakeholder groupings;
  • Supporting bespoke research projects (desk research, structured interviews) to answer specific questions posed by prospective market entrants;
  • Keeping up-to-date with latest developments in the Cambodian political, business and regulatory spheres;
  • Supporting prospective investors during trade missions and B2B meetings facilitated by EuroCham;
  • Representing the Chamber at external conferences and trade fairs for information-gathering and networking purposes;
  • Collecting and storing relevant market information to act as the ‘knowledge hub’ of the Chamber so as to provide internal support to other teams;
  • Process development (eg. CRM, sales process, knowledge management)
  • Occasionally support the consultation and drafting process for specific position papers
  • Representing the Chamber in public-private dialogue events for information gathering and networking
  • Training Support (30%)
  • Supporting the development of the EuroCham professional training program; identifying new potential training topics, trainers, launching communications for various trainings, and supporting training logistics (invoicing, on-site facilitation, customer relations).
  • General Support (10%)
  • Other tasks as necessary, including drafting or proofreading of Khmer-language texts for external communication and checking of contracts with external service providers, registering participants at various EuroCham events etc.

  • Strong organisational skills, ability to switch between multiple tasks and retain knowledge across a broad range of topics
  • Completed (or due to complete) a University degree in an essay-based subject such as Economics, Business, History, or International Relations; or a STEM subject involving the analysis and presentation of complex data in written and visual formats.
  • Excellent writing skills, ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner in English.
  • Strong research skills – both desk research and structured interviews
  • Ability to develop and leverage a large network in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Position Summary

The Junior Admin Assistant focuses specifically on providing admin support to the entire team. She or he will be principally responsible for admin, HR and logistic tasks. To accomplish this task, the recipient works with the accountant to develop and implement administrative processes.

Position summary

EuroCham is currently looking for a professional membership and marketing officer / senior officer to join our team. Her/his responsibilities will be on all activities concerning members and members’ engagement (including various publications), on general marketing activities, working closely with EuroCham’s management team and units such as national chapters and internal project teams.

Duties
  • Membership:
  • Act as the main point of contact for existing and potential EuroCham members
  • Increase membership in the chamber
  • Manage relationships with existing and new members and maintain membership engagement by preparing various communication products to be shared with members on a regular basis
  • Develop membership campaigns and follow up with application of new members, welcome them to the office and prepare external and internal communication on new membersEnsure membership renewals and reduce churn rates
  • Collaborate with our national chapters and their members
  • Thoroughly manage a permanently updated membership and event database and create strategies for establishing an efficient customer relationship management (CRM)
  • Provide members with interesting and relevant sponsorship, partnership and visibility opportunities
  • Support networking between members
  • Visit or welcome all new, existing and potential members at their place of operations and run the monthly open office day within EuroCham premises
  • Create detailed tracking of all interactions and follow-ups
  • Support internal project teams in advocacy and services in their efforts to include members within their activities
  • Marketing:
  • Execute marketing initiatives for all chamber activities via different channels (digital and non-digital)

  • Work closely with the communications officer on member-related PR and communication campaigns
  • Support the events team in promoting chamber events
  • Ensure consistent branding and innovate where necessary
  • Constantly monitor, update and maintain a sector-segmented contact database
  • Communicate on behalf of Eurocham project teams with members and our general audience

Requirements
  • University degree, preferably in digital communication/marketing, management or international relations, or equivalent work experience
  • Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Very strong proficiency in English; knowledge of an additional European language is an asset
  • Experience managing customer relations management (CRM) platforms and content management systems (CMS)
  • At least two years of events and communications experience
  • Professional experience creating detailed marketing timelines & strategies
  • Professional experience in event marketing & promotion, including email marketing and social media marketing
  • Well-organized, ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Basic website development skills with CMS’s such as WordPress
  • Knowledge of coding is a plus
  • Professional experience with MS Office, Google Docs/Suite and editorial software such as InDesign; Illustrator, Photoshop ad Canva
  • Photography and videography skills is a plus.
