The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has received Loan from the World Bank IDA No.6433-KH toward the cost of Cambodia Sustainable Landscape and Ecotourism Project (CSLEP), and become effective on October 17, 2019. The project expected closing date is December 31, 2025. It will be implemented by the Royal Government Cambodia, Ministry of Environment (MOE) as Executing agency (EA) and as the implementing agency (IA) with the Ministry of Rural Development (MRD).

Requirements
  •  Advanced education level (Master’s Degree, PhD Degree)
  • At least ten (10) years’ experiences in delivering similar consultancy services regarding trails planning and management support services, particularly in the tourism industry or tourism sector with a particular focus on destination planning, ecotourism and community development and operations in PAs and CPAs.
  •  At least seven (7) years’ experience in developing ecotourism and trails training curriculum, materials and tools, including also guidelines and toolkits development for cascading trainings.
  •  Experience working with multi-media services or groups, and Indigenous People and on Gender issues is a plus,
  •  Demonstrate high professionalism and ability to work independently and possess strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking with deadline pressures.
  •  Knowledge and experience of trail development, planning and management processes, particularly in relation to ecotourism, hospitality, CBET entrepreneurs and Small Businesses Needs and Expectations is critical
  •  Good in spoken and written English and high proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
 

How to Apply

The consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection (ICS) method set out the World Bank Procurement Regulation for Investment Project Financing (IPF) Borrowers, dated July 1, 2012, revised November 2017 and August 2018, and provisions stipulated in the financing agreement in consistency with the RGC’s Updated Standard Operating procedures (SOP) and Procurement Manual for externally financed finance project/programs (PM) , promulgated through Sub-decree 181, dated December 2019.

In submitting their expressions of interest, the interest candidates are kindly requested to provide their updated curriculum vitae, indicating their personal and technical skills, academic qualifications, and experience in similar assignments, along with the of at least three (3) references with contact information (email address, telephone or fax numbers).

Interested consultant may obtain copies of the detailed Term of Reference (ToRs) in English for the assignment from the address or email given in the contact details during office hours from 8:00AM to 12:00PM and from 1:30PM to 5:30PM. Monday through Friday, except public holiday, Expression of Interest must be submitted to the address or by email given in the contact details or hard copy no later than the deadline before 5:30PM.
