GIZ is a federally owned enterprise and is supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
The stabilizing food production with small scale farmers aims to sustain the improvement of the livelihood and food security in target provinces. There are main activities such as providing the training courses on diversified vegetables and fruit trees growing, financial literacy, basic knowledge of nutrition from crop diversification, utensils for home garden management. Furthermore, the project will also support the significant inputs including fertilizers, seeds for poor households and machines, tools and equipment for the processing of agricultural products. The project helps to build and upgrade the food production with small scale farmers and assist them with preparing the land for farming, improving the soil conditions and putting it to production focusing on sustainable agriculture. The project provides knowledge and skills that help to further improve the families’ food security through diversification and specifically adapted land use.
