The Multisectoral Food and Nutrition Security (MUSEFO) Project in Cambodia is a part of the Global Programme Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience under the “One World – No Hunger” Special Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project aims to make a significant contribution to reducing poverty and hunger.
A multisectoral approach that combines measures in the areas of health, nutrition, and agriculture is being implemented in three fields of activity: (1) integrating and improving the quality of nutritional services in the health sector; (2) diversifying food production and raising awareness among the population of food and nutrition and basic hygiene; and (3) embedding successful approaches at the national and sub-national level on the nutrition governance.
The One Village One Product movement of the government aims to contribute to the implementation of the National Strategy for Poverty Reduction in addressing the mobilization of local economic potentials for products and services. To help people having confidence promoting own goods and services especially with to unique reginal products and/or products reflecting ancient and modern cultures and traditions. Furthermore, it aims to contribute to the sustainable economic development. Especially in respect of the development pathway towards a higher middle-income country by 2030, and high-income country by 2050.
