The MUSEFO project is part of the Global Programme "Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience" under the "One World – No Hunger" Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The project is currently being implemented in 11 countries in Africa and Asia: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Togo, Yemen and Zambia. The overall objective is to improve the food and nutrition situation for the most vulnerable, particularly women of reproductive age and young children under two years of age.
The project is being implemented from 03/2015 to 03/2023 with extension the period up to 03/2026, in close cooperation with the project's political partner, the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development. A multisectoral approach that combines interventions in the fields of health, nutrition, hygiene and nutrition-agriculture is implemented through (1) the provision of input and knowledge on healthy diets for pregnant and lactating women and children under two years (U2: 6-23 months) to generate a positive impact on attitudes and practices of households towards balanced diets; (2) the integration and improvement of the quality of nutrition counselling services of health staff and health volunteers; (3) diversification of agricultural production; and (4) the strengthening of capacities for multisectoral coordination at national and sub-national levels.
Each year assessment of the project output indicators is being assessed. This contract assesses the progress on the MUSEFO project output indicators for 2022 to 2025 as yearly basic to measure the project progress.

Offers must be submitted in a big-sealed envelope (duly identified as technical offer and separated by a smaller sealed envelope identified as financial offer) to below mentioned address, with the subject: Offer No. 83406591 – Formative research on barriers and enablers for diversified diets and healthy family nutrition until 17:00 on 10.06.2022 (offers sent after this date will be automatically disqualified). If more than one offer is received from a bidder in response to a tender, only the most recently submitted offer will be considered.
This invitation to tender is in no way binding on GIZ. The GIZ’s contractual obligation commences only upon signature of the contract with the successful Tenderer.
Up to the point of signature, GIZ may either abandon the procurement or cancel the award procedure, without the candidates or tenderers being entitled to claim any compensation.
All costs incurred in preparing and submitting tenders are borne by the tenderers and cannot be reimbursed.
All tenderers will be informed in writing of the results of this tender process.
