We work through partners on different projects across 24 provinces in Cambodia, implementing high-quality projects to improve the livelihood of the communities we serve.

We are very passionate about our work, and we are very committed to our donors, therefore we organize field visits where the donors can witness the quality of our work.

DCA is now looking for a video-camera operator to film the field visit under the guidance of our own photographer and communication officer.

Position Summary

Objective of the assignment.

To film in a reportage style all the activities during the field visit, backup in double copy and pass the copy to the communication officer at the end of every working day. The candidate should have his own equipment including cameras, microphones (lavalier and field microphone), tripod, monopod, small light when necessary

Deliverables

  • High quality 1080p video recording of all the field visit activities including audio.

Administration

In the process of preparing the travel schedule the candidate will hold one meeting with the communication officer to discuss the requirements and the details, including expected standard both in term of quality and in term of discretion. (we should always blend with the environment and never cause disturbance to the visit or the guests)

Timeframe

The selected consultant should travel with our team from Sunday, April 3rd till Friday, April 8th, and should travel in Phnom Penh and province with our team (travel and accommodation will be covered by DCA) for the food the consultant will as well receive a daily per diem as per DCA rate.

Expertise Required

  • Proven experience in shooting videos in a reportage contest, both with tripod/monopod, and/or handheld
  • Field audio recording, with a boom mic on top of the camera, and/or lavalier mic for interviews.
  • Understanding Cambodian context and community development.
  • Fluent in Khmer and English

Equipment Required

  • 1080p or 4k stabilized video camera with audio input.
  • Ambient and lavalier Microphones
  • Stabilized camcorder or camera stabilizer.
  • Tripod
  • Small light setup

Payment Arrangement

The fee will be paid in two installments, 40% upon signing the contract and 60% after approval of the final video animation.

According to Cambodian tax law, if the candidate is not registered with the Department of Taxation, DCA will withhold tax equivalent to 15% of the total budget.
