Role Summary and Key Responsibility Areas
Summary
EWB Assistive Technologies Program in Cambodia is seeking a mechanical engineer with experience related to disability inclusion program to support the assistive technology program team and partner organisations for delivering high-quality disability inclusion analysis, concept designs, prototypes, trails, monitoring, evaluations and progress controls of the products and services for innovative assistive technology solutions for disability communities, such as AgriLab, Accessible Moto, and will include the scoping of new projects in the domain of plastic recycling and solar energy.
Management Relationships
This position is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and is line managed by the TechDev Project Manager.
You will work closely with the other members of the Assistive Technology Program Team in Cambodia and EWB Australia Field Professionals whose role is to mentor and support in building your skills and capacity.
Remuneration
This role is a locally engaged position. Salary range is between 500 and 650 USD per month plus entitlements. More information will be provided during the recruitment process.

Role purpose
This role identifies motivation and commitment to join our team as a local SCE engineering volunteer. He or she will support the EWB project implementation of both innovative safe flood-affected and hard ground sanitation solutions at Or Totueong, Trapeng Angchanh and Kapeu Pul villages, Phnom Kraing Dey Meas and Svay Chrum communes, Rolea B’ear district, Kampong Chhnang province in collaboration with partners and others technology development support might be needed.
Summary
To ensure EWB’s Mobilisation and Partnership Coordinator and Support Program Officer are well supported in all aspects of flood-affected and hard ground sanitation solution project implementation and monitoring. The volunteer role will be adaptable to support the entire program team where it is most required such as project design, prototyping, implementation, M&E, data collection, data entry and reporting.

The volunteer role will be adaptable to support the entire program team where it is most required such as project design, prototyping, implementation, M&E, data collection, data entry and reporting.

No overseas travel will be required. Based in Phnom Penh and often travel to province.

Allowances and support
The volunteer will receive a monthly based on a timesheet to be recorded.
Leave
All volunteers are entitled to 20 days leave per 12 months, unless otherwise advised. Same terms and conditions as local colleagues apply, including national holidays.
