Senior IT Officer

Cufa is looking for a full-time Senior IT Officer who will be based in our Phnom Penh office. The Senior IT Officer will be responsible for implementing and identifying modern, feasible solutions to address IT organizational needs across three countries. Cufa currently uses Google applications and the primary deliverable for the Senior IT Officer is to lead and manage Cufa’s migration to Microsoft applications. For its website, Cufa uses WordPress applications. Thus, experience with Microsoft and WordPress applications is compulsory.

Duties
  • The Senior IT Officer is responsible for:
  • Leading the implementation of Cufa’s IT Strategy including migration from Google to Microsoft applications including OneDrive, Outlook and Teams.
  • Providing IT expertise and practical solutions to improve Cufa’s websites, CRM systems, and other technologies.
  • Providing efficient and timely technical support to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in three countries across the Asia-Pacific region using remote access.
  • Installing and configuring computer/tablet hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners using remote access.
  • Setting-up IT profiles and accounts for new staff, as required.
  • Managing website updates using the website back-end in collaboration with the Australia-based colleagues.
  • Working closely across time zones with Cufa colleagues to update, improve and run Cufa’s multiple websites hosted on WordPress.
  • Ensuring all website domain names, SSL certificates and hosting services are current and are renewed as required.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks including anti-virus software and maintaining the IT Asset Register.
  • Providing recommendations and preparing quotations with required specifications and value-for-money options for computer hardware, spare parts, accessories and software purchases, as required
  • Key Relationships:
  • Reporting to the Cambodia Country Manager
  • Working in close consultation and collaboration with Australia-based colleagues
  • Working closely with all Cufa staff members across the Asia-Pacific region using remote access
Requirements
  • Selection Criteria
  • University qualifications in IT or relevant field are compulsory.
  • Over five years demonstrable work experience in a similar role undertaking similar responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing migration from Google to Microsoft applications, is compulsory.
  • Experience in coding using WordPress, advanced web design and development; and capacity and confidence to manage MySQL databases are compulsory.
  • Proficiency and confidence to communicate in English is critical to being successful in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills within Khmer and English contexts.
  • Experience in setting-up, managing and troubleshooting WordPress-based web hosting, domain name management and website security.
  • Experience in network administration, including LAN/WAN.
  • Sound knowledge of Windows OS (server/client) and Mac OS.
  • Skills to manage Microtel Router and Wireless Access Point.
  • Ability to use Access databases or other CRM software such as eTapestry.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with data security and back-up processes.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary and international team across multiple locations.
  • Experience working within an INGO environment is highly desirable.
