Agribuddy, Co,.Ltd. help farmers utilize their farmland and produce high yields cost effectively by providing finance, knowledge, goods and services to their doorsteps.

We are operating within 7 provincial territories (Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Battambang, Pailin, Pursat, Banteay Meanchey and Udormanchey) and continue our expansion nationwide.

Because of this expansion, we are now seeking qualified Cambodian nationals to fill the following positions.

Crop Trading Officer

Workplace Circumstances

Position Summary

This position will regular travel to Phnom Penh and other provinces will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with field operations and collect data regarding the number of hectares planted and make a projection on the number of tonnages per harvest.
  • Manage paddy trading and rice trading by collecting paddy from farmers.
  • Facilitate rice trading between Millers and Rice Distributors
  • Facilitate preparation of contract between farmer and Agribuddy for selling of crops
  • Check paddy at field, measure and monitor harvest schedule
  • Collect paddy from farmers
  • Checking paddy quality and set the paddy price for farmers
  • Manage the flow of paddy delivery to millers
  • Prepare paddy collection and paddy monitoring report to Managing Director
  • Facilitate the payment for paddy collection to farmers, loaders, transporters
  • Other tasks may be requested by management from time to time
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in either Accounting or Finance, or a Management/Business degree with relevant experienceMust be able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Good numerical manipulation and reporting skills
  • Must be comfortable with working on flexible hours if required
  • Good knowledge of accountancy software and excellent computer skills;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a good team player able to work in multi-cultural environments;
  • Flexible and able to work independently and under pressure;
  • Able to communicate in English (speaking and writing);
  • Experience in designing and conducting finance trainings; Leadership & negotiating skills.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
  • Understands and adheres to confidentiality protocols

Digital Credit Officer

Position Summary

This position will regular travel to Phnom Penh and other provinces will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a reliable database of farmer loans credit, updated records of loan applications and loan disbursement through ABIS.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data gathered from farmers regarding loan documentation.
  • Work with MFI on the processing of farmer loans.
  • Follow up on customers assessment with operation team and MFI and inform field staff about the assessment and disbursement plan provided by MFI
  • Facilitate loan disbursement of approved loans to farmers and initiate
  • Properly record loan amounts to System and ensure accuracy of records being processed in the system.
  • Provide MFI the needed data and information about loan utilization of farmers
  • Maintain updated records of loan applications
  • Coordinate the communication among field staff, farmers and MFI
  • Facilitate settlement with MFI for customers repayment.
  • Follow up with client/farmers about loan renewals
  • Regularly review loan requests and monitor progress of existing loans
  • Other tasks may be requested by management from time to time
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Economics or related field
  • Proven experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer or similar role
  • Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets
  • Hand-on experience with lending procedures and products
  • Must be able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Good numerical manipulation and reporting skills
  • Previous experience in field work and credit officer. Must be comfortable with working flexible hours if required
  • Good knowledge of accountancy software and excellent computer skills;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a good team player able to work in multi-cultural environments;

Logistic Officer

Position Summary

This position will regular travel to Phnom Penh and other provinces will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage operations regarding the over-all transportation and logistics requirement of the operations.
  • Provide recommendation to the management on the transport cost and efficiency.
  • Provide assistance in the liaising and negotiation with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers regarding product deliveries and other similar requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations and shipment of crops during the harvest period.
  • Maintain a pool of transport services. Recruit and coordinate with reliable outsource truck drivers / trucking services according to availability and requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports to the management
  • Resolve any transportation issues.
  • Other tasks may be requested by management from time to time
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, logistics or supply chain and relevant field
  • At least 2 years working experience in logistic and supply chain
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Must be able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Good numerical manipulation and reporting skills
  • Must be comfortable with working flexible hours if required
  • Good knowledge of accountancy software and excellent computer skills;

Agronomy Specialist

Position Summary

This position will regular travel to Phnom Penh and other provinces will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive agricultural operation plan of Agribuddy.
  • Provide agricultural technical advisory on all aspects of farming
  • Identify and analyze the potential agricultural business opportunity, resources need and market opportunity for small scale farmer at community level
  • Identify potential agricultural inputs suppliers and link them to join the Agribuddy business model.
  • Provide leadership in the selection, quality checking and identification of certified standard agri-products helpful in the crop production.
  • Provide proper training to farmers regarding the standard crop production techniques and methodologies using technology and efficient application of essential agri-products and other agricultural best practices.
  • Monitor field activities especially in the implementation of proper and standard crop production and make sure that farmers will greatly benefit from their activity.
  • Provide immediate solution to every issue encountered by field operations, farmers regarding any agriculture related challenges.
  • Represent the company in any meetings, discussions with partners, community and other stakeholders regarding best agricultural practices.
  • Prepare reports, document process flows, instructions and guidelines on proper agriculture production management.
  • Design field experiments, research, data collection, data management and statistical analysis for product development.
  • Other tasks may be requested by management from time to time
Requirements:
  • Diploma in agriculture or similar field or at least 3 years experience in technical support for projects in agricultural development environments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of agronomy of crop, cassava and corns, production methods and farming systems.
  • Ability to implement field experiments including data collection, recording and management.
  • A person is good at communicating, documentation and training skills.
  • Demonstrate command of English and Khmer languages.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work and stay for periods in remote area.
  • Ability to work in a team and experience in teamwork desired.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
  • Understands and adheres to confidentiality protocols
  • Flexible and able to work independently and under pressure;
  • Experience working for multi-partner, multi-donor projects is preferred.
