KCD is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-religious, independent local organization that registered in 2005 with the Ministry of Interior of the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia. KCD’s vision is a peaceful developing multicultural society, in which the genuine needs and rights of all stakeholders, regardless their gender, age, ethnicity, religious belief, ability or social status, are recognized, respected, and satisfied, in the respect of environment.

Since 2006, KCD has been implementing activities focusing on children's rights programs, peace projects Community Development project and nutrition. In Cambodia, KCD is one of the few grassroots organizations that integrate ethnic Vietnamese as a target group. With a lot of courage and perseverance, they stand up for their interests and lead young generations to an increased exchange and to the pointing out of the danger of stereotypes and exclusion.

Purpose and scope of consultancy

With support from Civil Peace Service, KCD is a growing organization, in the process of applying of capacity building to KCD staff and support KCD staff to be able to improve skill on theatre of express including forum theatre and then KCD has ability to promote and train Forum Theater (FT) to Peace Club and Forum theatre team in target areas.

The training should focus on questions:

  • How to transfer the theatre actor’s skills from real to online?
  • How to create an online theatre scenario?
  • How should we think about online art and invent our own contents and ideas?
  • What and how should we perform in front of a computer?
  • Theatre- Film- Skills.
  • Which exercises should we practice in front of a camera and how?
  • How to use the natural spaces (home) for the theatre?
  • How to work with body and space?
  • How to use the joker skills for online meetings?
  • How could we develop joker´s skills for our online work?
  • What does it mean to create an online stage design?
  • How to transfer and work with our body expressions (voice, face, body) in front of the camera?
  • How to stay interesting and how to reach the people?
  • Performance consultations based on the Forum Theatre Method.
  • Performance consultations based on different examples and art work.
  • Technical consultation for the online performance.

KCD will be responsible for:

  • Engaging actively KCD staff in the workshop sessions
  • Providing consultation how to improve Forum Theatre performance
  • Providing input into the agenda process before the training to participants

Time Schedule

The completion of this work is expected to take a maximum 8 days following the signing of the contract, spread over a period of approximately from September to October 2021.

Budget: up to 2760USD including tax

Management

The facilitator will be managed by the ED of KCD, Ms. Sokha Chan, Mr.Sot Sitha Peace Project Officer.

Payment will be made as follows:

  • Milestone 1: After complete 4 days, KCD will pay 50% fee
  • Milestone 2: Completion of project and submission of all deliverables 50% fee
