Video Production Consultancy for Factchecking and Information Disorder Video Series for Journalists

Objective
The objective of this consultancy is to produce a high-quality toolkit video series that enhances journalists’ understanding of a) Information disorder and its impacts b) Causes and motivations behind misinformation and disinformation c) Fact-checking principles and verification methods d) Digital verification tools and responsible reporting practices. The videos should be engaging, informative, visually appealing, and suitable for online dissemination and training purposes.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant/team with support from CCIM staff will be responsible for the full production of a five-video series, including:
- Pre-production: Review and refine provided scripts, develop creative concepts and storyboards, propose visual style, animation style, and production approach, Coordinate production schedule with CCIM and Identify voice-over needs, graphics, stock footage, and music.
- Production: Produce one introduction video and four thematic videos, Record narration/voice-over in Khmer, create animations, motion graphics, subtitles, and visual illustrations, integrate screenshots, demonstrations, graphics, and fact-checking examples and Ensure accessibility and audience engagement
- Post-Production: Video editing and sound design, English subtitle integration, Background music and audio mixing, revisions based on CCIM feedback as well as finalizing mastering and export in required formats.
Timeline
The consultancy is expected to be completed within approximately 06 weeks from contract signing.
Reporting and Coordination
The consultant/team will work closely with CCIM’s project focal person and communication team throughout the production process. All deliverables will be reviewed and approved by CCIM before finalization.
Intellectual Property
All videos, scripts, graphics, footage, and related materials produced under this consultancy shall become the property of CCIM upon final payment. The consultant may not reproduce or distribute the
Eligibility
- The consultant/team should have:
- Proven experience in video production and motion graphics
- Experience producing educational or awareness content
- Strong storytelling and visual communication skills
- Ability to produce Khmer-language media content
- Knowledge of journalism, media literacy, or factchecking is an advantage
- Strong portfolio of previous work
