Role Overview:
The Video Editor Intern will play a key role in supporting our multimedia efforts by helping to create high-quality video content that promotes Glean Asia’s mission to close the digital skills gap. The intern will assist in creating, editing, and producing videos for digital platforms, including social media, website, and partner presentations. This role involves working closely with the creative and communication teams to bring podcasts and educational stories to life through engaging visual content. The Video Editor Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in video production, content creation, and project management, while contributing to meaningful educational projects across Southeast Asia.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage video projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with objectives and timelines.
- Develop shooting plans and make creative decisions during filming to maintain visual consistency.
- Handle all aspects of post-production editing, including cutting footage, adding transitions, effects, music, and text overlays.
- Create visually appealing content that aligns with Glean’s and their customers' needs, including short clips for social media, promotional materials, and training content.
- Collaborate with the creative and communications teams to ensure video content supports project goals and organizational messaging.
- Organize and catalog video assets and media files.
- Assist with subtitling videos in English or Khmer to ensure accessibility.
- Ensure all videos produced adhere to Glean Asia’s brand and visual guidelines.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide input on creative direction.
- Stay updated with video editing trends and software improvements to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Support the team by performing additional tasks as assigned by the team leader.
- Key Objectives:
- Develop and produce video content that enhances Glean Asia’s digital presence and storytelling efforts.
- Ensure timely delivery of video projects that meet the standards of quality and creativity.
- Gain practical experience in video creating, editing, from post-production to final delivery, while supporting a meaningful mission.
- Build a professional portfolio of work, demonstrating a strong grasp of video editing, storytelling, and technical production skills.
- Work independently or collaboratively with minimal creative direction.
- Education & Experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
- Some experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Strong command of English.
- Fluent in Khmer; reading and writing.
- Passion for storytelling and creativity, with an eye for detail and design.
