Position and duration of contract:
Quantitative Data Analysis Consultant (130 days starting from June to Dec 2025)
Project: Supporting Health and Equity for Rural Cervical Cancer Access in Northern Cambodia
Duty Station: Hybrid (Remote based for Research assistant and quantitative data analysis with frequent travel to provinces and to MC Phnom Penh office).
Data Collection Sites: Ratanakiri, Stung Treng (including three health centres: Santepheap, Siem Pang, Chamkar Leu), Oddar Meanchey (including two health centres: Trapaing Brey and O’smach), and Ratanakiri (including two health centres: Ke Jong and Lumphat). Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) will take place in select remote villages within the coverage area of these health centres.
Objective of the Consultancy
The primary objective of this consultancy is to perform quantitative data analysis for a Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) survey and the health facility readiness (quantitative part). The survey data comprises 1,500-1,800 individual interviews collected across three provinces: Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, and Oddar Meanchey. The data analyst will collaborate closely with the Program Manager and technical advisors in the UK to ensure accurate and insightful analysis. The KAP survey will focus on a cross-sectional analysis, with disaggregation of data based on variables such as age (between 18-65), gender (men vs. women), livelihoods (e.g., forest goer, agriculture practitioners), living condition (e.g., poor 1, poor 2, and non-poor), and population (migrant population, ethnic communities, entertainment workers).
Timeline
The consultancy will have the following indicative timeline:
This assignment is estimated for estimated 130 days in total with the duration run from June -15 Dec 2025. The consultant is expected to submit regular progress updates as per the agreed-upon schedule. A regular discussion with the project team is necessary.
- The consultant will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- In collaboration with TAs, develop and finalise the drafted data analysis plan
- Data cleaning and preparation ensure that the dataset is clean, consistent, and ready for analysis. This includes handling missing data, checking for inconsistencies, and preparing the data for statistical analysis.
- Descriptive Analysis: Perform descriptive statistics to summarize the data, including frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations for relevant variables.
- Disaggregation and Segmentation: Conduct data disaggregation by key variables such as age, gender, population characteristics, villages, and position to identify trends and patterns in KAP and participant satisfaction. For all open-ended questions, the data analysis should include coding and the creation of summary tables or visualizations as part of the analysis process.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct advanced statistical analyses as required, such as cross-tabulations, one-way Anova, and regression analysis, to explore the relationships between demographic characteristics and knowledge, attitudes, practices, and HPV testing satisfaction. The analysis shall combine with visualisation and graphs.
- Data Interpretation: Interpret the results of the statistical analyses to provide actionable insights, considering the context of HPV screening and vaccination programs. The consultant will work closely with the Program Manager and technical advisors to ensure that the analysis aligns with project objectives.
- Collaboration with UK Technical Advisors: Regular communication with technical advisors in the UK to ensure alignment with best practices in quantitative data analysis, share progress, and discuss any issues related to data interpretation.
- Report Writing: Develop a detailed analysis report, which includes:
- A clear summary of the methodology used in data analysis.
- Key findings, including statistical trends, insights, and interpretation of the results. Barrier to access cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination shall be highlighted in the report.
- Recommendations for program improvements based on the analysis.
- A section for any potential limitations or challenges encountered during analysis and triangulation with qualitative data analyst.
- The consultant should meet the following qualifications:
- A degree in Statistics, Public Health, Data Science, or a related field (master’s level preferred).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in quantitative data analysis, particularly in health-related surveys, with experience in KAP surveys being an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, or similar). The consultant must be capable of conducting complex statistical analysis, including cross-tabulations, regression, and hypothesis testing.
- Prior experience working with health data, especially in the areas of public health surveys or HPV-related research, is highly desirable.
- Attention to details: Ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process.
- Reporting Skills: Proven ability to communicate complex data analysis in a clear, actionable format. Strong report writing and presentation skills are essential.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with a remote team of technical advisors and local program managers.
Research Assistant Consultant (1 Position)

Research Assistant for Qualitative Study
Objective of the Consultancy
The consultant will conduct key informant interviews (KIIs) with representatives from the Ministry of Health, provincial health departments, operational districts, health centres, referral hospitals, and technical working group of cervical cancer. The goal is to gather comprehensive insights on cervical cancer and the health readiness regarding cervical cancer prevention and elimination strategy. Additionally, the consultant will work with the Program Manager to facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with health facility staff and community committees to understand the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) of hard-to-reach populations concerning cervical cancer screening and vaccination.
- The consultant’s responsibilities will include the following:
- Data Collection: Conduct 30-45 individual KIIs with stakeholders (healthcare providers, policymakers, and community members), and facilitate 15 FGDs with diverse groups from the target population (supported by the programme manager of cervical cancer). These discussions will be based on pre-designed semi-structured questionnaires.
- Data Analysis: Transcribe and code the qualitative data from KIIs and FGDs. The consultant will use software such as NVIVO to analyse the data and derive meaningful insights.
- Draft key summary and translate into English for the technical advisors working on cervical cancer in the UK office.
- Report Writing: Compile the findings into structured reports that include a comprehensive analysis and actionable recommendations to inform future cervical cancer prevention, screening, and vaccination activities.
- Regular meeting and update with the programme manager and the technical advisors.
- The consultant should meet the following qualifications:
- An advanced degree in qualitative research, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ proven experience in designing and implementing qualitative data collections and analysis, with a strong emphasis on academic writing for medical or public health research.
- Expertise in qualitative data collection, management, and analysis, particularly cross-sectional analysis. Familiarity with data analysis software such as NVIVO (or similar) is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting key informant interviews with policymakers and healthcare professionals, as well as leading focus group discussions with diverse community groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear, high-quality reports and deliverables.
- Previous experience in public health, particularly in cancer care, HPV, or related health areas, is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of stakeholders, including health professionals, government agencies, and community organizations, and to engage effectively with hard-to-reach populations
Team Leader Consultant (2 Positions)

Team Leaders
Objective of the Consultancy
The primary objective of this consultancy is to conduct 1,500-1,800 individual interviews as part of a KAP (Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices) survey targeting hard-to-reach populations, including ethnic communities, migrant workers, entertainment sector employees, and others in three provinces. The data will be collected in the following locations:
- Ratanakiri (2 health centres: Ke Jong and Lumphat)
- Stung Treng (3 health centres: Santepheap, Siem Pang, and Chamkar Leu)
- Oddar Meanchey (2 health centres: Trapaing Brey and O’smach)
The KAP survey will span 30-50 villages across these targeted areas, focusing on populations that are often difficult to reach. The data collection will provide valuable insights into health behaviours, practices, and knowledge within these communities.
- The team leaders will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective implementation of the data collection process. Their responsibilities will include:
- Training and Preparation: Attending all relevant training sessions on data collection methods and questionnaires.
- Coordination: Ensuring the efficient and organized execution of the data collection process, coordinating logistics, and managing schedules.
- Planning: Collaborating with the Programme Manager to develop the field data collection plan and prepare all necessary materials, including hard copies of the questionnaires.
- Support and Reflection: Assisting the Programme Manager in daily reflections on the data collected, discussing any issues or emerging trends.
- Supervision: Overseeing the field data collectors to ensure adherence to data collection protocols, proper questioning, and data quality standards.
- Compliance: Ensuring that health and safety protocols are always adhered to and that ethical considerations are strictly followed throughout the data collection process.
- Data Quality Assurance: Verifying and checking the collected data daily to maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- The team leaders must meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A minimum of a BACII or bachelor’s degree in social sciences, health-related fields, or other relevant disciplines.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of proven experience in data collection. Experience working in remote or hard-to-reach areas is highly beneficial. Experience in digital data collection such as Kobo, Qualtrics is an asset.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and interact effectively with local communities.
- Health Sector Knowledge: Experience in public health, particularly in areas such as cancer care, HPV, or related health issues, is an asset.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to understand and respect local customs, traditions, and social norms when working with diverse populations.

- Training: Participating in the training sessions on data collection protocols and understanding the survey tools.

- Data Protection: Adhering to all data protection policies and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and privacy standards.
- Reporting: Reporting any challenges or issues that arise during the data collection process to the team leaders to facilitate quick resolution.
- The data collectors must meet the following qualifications:
