Announcement Description

Youth Resource Development Program (YRDP) was formally initiated in October 1992 and legally registered with the Ministry of the Interior (MoI) in 1999 in the field of civic and peace education, and youth empowerment. The main goal of YRDP is to empower youth to become inform, active and responsible citizens in taking concrete initiatives and motivating other people for promoting sustainable peace, justice and a democratic society.

Currently, we are seeking national candidates to fulfill the vacant positions below:

Announcement Positions

Democratic Citizenship Education for Youth (DCEY) Project Officer (2 Positions)

Position Summary

This position is expected to start as soon as possible.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Work with program and/or project staff and the head of the program to develop activities and budget plans
  • Work with project staff and the head of the program to develop and review trainings’ curriculums, templates, and other activities
  • Organize and facilitate trainings/workshops and the field practice of trained youth in democratic governance, and active citizenship courses
  • Facilitate exposure trips for youth to impacted communities
  • Mobilize youth to attend the trainings/workshops and other activities of the project
  • Cooperate with M&E staff to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the project activities
  • Develop the contents and facilitate online and radio talk shows
  • Write trainings/activities reports in English
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • BA in a related field such as Human Rights, Law, International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, and Environment
  • At least three years’ experience working with NGOs as a full-time staff
  • Good teamwork and highly motivated to work directly with university youth or youth at higher education institutes
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to question and change one's own ideas and habits
  • Good at interpersonal skills: Communication, problem-solving, facilitation, time and task management with high morale, and good characteristics
  • Good at writing and speaking both English and Khmer.
 
 

Youth Empowerment for Social Harmony Project Officer

Position Summary

This position is expected to start as soon as possible.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Work with program and/or project staff and head of the program to develop activity and budget plans
  • Work with the head of the program and the CPS’ Advisor to write proposal and report of project ending
  • Work with project staff, head of the program and the CPS’ Advisor to develop and review trainings’ curriculums, templates, and other activities
  • Organize and facilitate training/workshops and the field practice of trained youth of Historical Learning about Political Leadership and Reconciliation courses
  • Develop topics and assist in producing talk shows for YRDPs Cam Youth Radio
  • Mobilize youth to attend the training/workshops and other activities of the project
  • Cooperate with M&E staff to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the project activities
  • Provide mentoring and coordination for project volunteers
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • BA in a related field such as History, Laws, International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, or any relevant field
  • At least two years’ experience in working with NGOs as full-time staff
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with delivering and organizing training courses and workshops
  • Experience in writing reports is preferred
  • Good teamwork and highly motivated to work directly with university youth or youth at higher education institute
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to question and change one's own ideas and habits
  • Good at interpersonal skills: Communication, problem-solving, facilitation, time and task management with high morale, and good characteristics

  • Mobilize youth to attend the training/workshops and other activities of the project
  • Write trainings/activity reports in English
  • Prepare advance and settlement of project’s activities
  • Participate in organization’s workshop and activities
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • BA in related fields such as History, Laws, Psychology, Political or Social Science, International Relations, Philosophy, Education, or social work
  • At least one-year experience working with NGOs as a full-time staff
  • Demonstrate strong team spirit and high motivation to work with youth or youth at higher education institute
  • Good at interpersonal skills: communication, problem-solving, facilitation, time and task management with high morale, and good characteristics
  • Good at writing and speaking both English and Khmer.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good command of English in writing and speaking
 
 

Administration Officer

Position Summary

This position is expected to start as soon as possible.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Manage meeting room for YRDP and visitors
  • Being responsible for office arrangements is well managed and updated inventories
  • Manage publication material (t-shirts, banners, and other printing material etc.)
  • Coordinate staff recruitment process
  • Coordinate and join with project staff on procurement process
  • Prepare and maintain contracts for office rental, contractors, website’s domain, and hosting, etc.
  • Keep record of HR documents (insurance, leaves, staff profiles, staff list and contract, performance appraisal results and etc.)
  • Collect and maintain minutes of meetings and reports of organization activities such as staff meetings, management, Board, donor meeting, staff capacity building etc.
  • Develop six-month and annual reports on staff capacity building for Executive Director
  • Develop staff appraisal forms and arrange staff for performance appraisal
  • Manage all YRDP keys
  • Develop orientation guideline, prepare contents/document for orientation (e.g. slide presentation…etc.) for new staff and provide orientation to them
  • Ensure policies and relevant procedures are well informed and implemented
  • Prepare administrative documents, e.g. meeting schedule, organizational charts, public holidays schedule and announcement
  • Make sure relevant information and documents are circulated conveniently to all staff
  • Contact relevant local authorities/government institutions for legal support if needed
  • Collaborate with all YRDP staff for work improvement
  • Check bills of water supply, electricity, telephone
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields
  • At least three years’ inventory stock control
  • At least three years in stock control and purchasing supplier
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and familiar with inventory management system
  • Good inter-personal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Khmer and English languages (Speaking, listening and writing)
  • Computer proficient in Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and good communication with team.
 
 

Finance Assistant

Position Summary

This position is expected to start as soon as possible.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all payments are made against sufficient, complete, correct, and relevant supporting documents duly verified and approved by concerned managers or budget holders
  • Review and follow up all outstanding advances of staff monthly, which ensures the timely settlement of amounts due and alignment with project implementation timeframe
  • Assist the finance officer/Manager in scanning documents and filing financial documents chronologically
  • Manage petty cash and always keeps cash, cheques, in the safe box
  • Reconcile cash accounts with financial documents and update the cash book regularly 
  • Manage bank accounts (including bank reconciliation)
  • Control Cash Advance, Settlement, Account Payable and Account Receivable
  • Make payment to suppliers and prepare receipt for all income.
  • Do financial monitoring (field visit, sport check …etc.)
  • Assist in preparing documents for annual audit (global)
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • At least bachelor’s degree in accounting, financing, or a related field,
  • Minimum two years of work experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Knowledge of law and policy related to finance
  • Sufficient English communication skill
  • Computer proficient in Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and QuickBooks.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure
  • Be respectful and transparent in dealing with others, commitment, accountability, integrity, be flexible, and accept responsibility for delivering outcomes
  • Willingness to work as a team with good organizational and inter-personal skills, reliable, honest, and trustworthy person
  • Be able to travel overnight at the project sites
