Announcement Description

Passerelles numériques (PN), a non-profit organization, is dedicated to enabling highly disadvantaged youths, through their abilities and their commitment, to access education and technical and vocational training, in the sector of Information Technology. We work to build strong employability which will allow them and their families to sustainably escape poverty, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.

Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerelles numériques currently trains around 600 students and employs around 100 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.

Passerelles numériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom, Microsoft and Société Générale and also receives support from individual donors.

In Cambodia, Passerelles numériques started its mission in 2005, with a training center based in Phnom Penh. PN Cambodia offers a two-year vocational training program for young people in precarious situations. Today, PN Cambodia (PNC) trains 148 students and graduated 1551 young disadvantaged since 2005.

MISSION

Passerelles numériques Cambodia (PNC) is looking for a Students Employment Officer for its External Relations Department.

S/he will be responsible for company visit management, internship and job placement for students, partnership development, and working on other tasks written down in the section of duties and responsibilities below.

Objectives for external relations

Increase the partnership opportunity of PN Cambodia with local companies/NGOs in terms of skills sharing, recruitment and sponsorship with the support of External Relations teame

STATUS AND CONDITIONS

  • Multicultural team setting (Khmer, French)
  • 3 months’ probation period, possible extension to 6 months
  • Salary negotiated upon experience, paid leaves.
  • Start Date as soon as possible
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of the External Relation (ER) Manager, the Students Employment Officer will work in the team to:
  • Partnership Building
  • Creation, maintenance and expansion of a sustainable relationship with companies, institutions, and organizations through face-to-face meetings, participating in external events, organizing guest’s visit at center, etc.
  • Search/generate new contacts and bridge partnership,
  • Work closely with ER officer and ER manager to update relationship status with partners
  • Company Visit
  • Establish plan/schedule/targeting companies for the study visit
  • Request/organize study visit for students
  • Lead study visit at company/organization
  • Manage the debriefing session after the study visit
  • Internship placement
  • Manage to place students for four-month full-time internship
  • Manage internship follow-up with students and companies
  • Coordinate the internship tutorship program with training and social affairs team
  • Follow up with students’ supervisor about their internship progress
  • Follow up students for their internship allowance solidarity contribution
  • Manage to resolve students and companies’ issues occurring during internship

  • To fulfill these objectives and carry out its tasks, the Students Employment Officer will get support from the External Relations team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, international relations, business or marketing.
  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge and ability in prospecting, sales closing, and fundraising is highly preferred.
  • Ability to produce and edit video and photos is highly preferred.
  • Very good in communication, and confident in speaking with new people.
  • Good at English writing and speaking skills
  • Willingness to work in NGO environment/sensibility to social development problematic
  • Able to self-train quickly to General IT Knowledge and IT situation in Cambodia

External Relations Officer

S/he will be responsible to increase the partnership opportunity of PN Cambodia with local institutions (companies, NGOs ...etc) in terms of collaboration, and sponsorship as well as communication and events in compliance with the PNC Fundraising strategy with the support of Local and Global Fundraising and communication teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising
  • Research trusts and foundations and write targeted applications to support our programmes and achieve fundraising income targets
  • Research corporates and develop pitches for a range of programmes including sponsorship proposals
  • Produce compelling performance and evaluation reports for funders and other donors
  • Fundraising administration including gift processing, donor thanking and stewardship
  • Keep donor records up to date on Salesforce
  • Initiate and oversee all PNC’s fundraising campaigns
  • Event Coordination
  • Organize or support local events (Career Forum, Graduation ceremony, etc.)
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
  • Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes.
  • Maintain event budgets.
  • Work closely with Communication officer to Produce communication tools (leaflet, agenda, poster, banners, press release, press Review, video, photo gallery, taking picture) as needed.
  • Alumni Engagement
  • Promote fundraising campaigns to alumni and engage them to participate
  • Organize set event mention in objective based on calendar year
  • Engage alumni to host/volunteer/participate in set events (workshop, based on the calendar years and objectives.
  • Support PNCAA communication officer in content creation (video and photo production/editing)
  • Support PNCAA communication officer in management social media (Facebook Page, Linkedin)
  • Create and engage alumni in other event/project in addition to cash donation for solidarity project
  • Support in Recruitment of PNCAA members (voting, selecting…etc)
  • Maintain close relationship with PNCAA members to ensure their set project/events is according to plans
  • Maintain and update alumni contact annually

Requirements:

CONTEXT AND MISSION

The English trainer will be required to deliver a quality English teaching to our first and second year students in real classroom or online, closely follow up the students’ learning and behaviour, design and/or update lessons and lesson plans, develop quality teaching and learning materials, and join PN Cambodia’s social missions such as students’ internship, students’ graduation ceremony, students' integration, selection, etc.

STATUS AND CONDITIONS

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Training delivery
  • Deliver the course using interactive and innovative methods, discussion, and a “learning by doing” approach
  • Design materials and hangout necessary for the students’ learning
  • Evaluate students with both formative and summative assessments
  • Maintain a process of feedback for each teaching and learning material
  • Evaluate each teaching and learning material and give ideas for future improvement
  • Teaching methodology
  • Able to use Google meet, hangout and telegram efficiently and effectively to teach online classes if required
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address training issues/needs and to constantly improve the training approach and materials

The Professional Life volunteer under the supervision of English and Professional Life coordinator will be mainly working to support the English and Professional Life team with Professional Life curriculum development and lesson updates in collaboration with Pedagogy Advisor and English & Professional Life Coordinator.

Passerelles numériques Cambodia (PNC) offers 2 years program composed of 5 terms:

  • JAN – MAY 23: Term 1
  • JUN – OCT 23: Term 2
  • NOV – MAR 24: Term 3
  • APR – JUL 24: Term 4
