Business Support Officer - Ocean Freight (1 Position)
Main Responsibilities
The core purpose of this role is to ensure and enable day to day operational stability and standardization across network in Ocean Department.
- Support
- Provide onsite and remote support to operational staff in all process and core system related areas
- Act as triage for all service failures, analysis of root cause, determine and ensure corrective action plans are executed
- Establish Super User Network in Region
- Establish and execute operational continuous improvement program
- Testing & Training
- Perform User Acceptance Testing against releases of core systems and/or new operational tools
- Identification of functions and offices/users where additional training required
- Creation/Validation of all operational training materials and user guides
- Organize and conduct both in class and webinar trainings
- Governance
- Ensure regional adherence to global SOP and operational guidelines
- Documentation of regional SOPs and workflows
- Define process metrics, measures and establish baselines for on-going operational reporting
- Perform Operational Audits
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/ Sales & Marketing/ Foreign Trade /Economics or equivalent
- Solid understanding of Ocean Freight Operations
- Understanding of Supply Chain Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry
- Experienced in delivering well-organized and effective presentations and training.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Field Sales Executive
General Description:
The incumbent would report under Country Head of Sales. The primary function of the work-stream and of the role of Field Sales Executive is to achieve sales plan objectives with assigned SME clients and targets by effectively selling DB Schenker products.
- Assure the successful client integration.
- Provide information to Marketing and Manager for sales planning and forecast activities (including prospect qualification and local market intelligence).
- Execute sales process, Generate New business and assigned SME clients and targets in line with the sales plan.
- To support the Commercial Manager and provide Key Account Management when necessary
- To follow up overseas sales lead, instruction and feed back to overseas
- Generate qualified sales leads and followed up regularly.
- To handle enquiries or divert enquiries from customers to respective departments
- To be responsible and coordinate with accounts and keep track of the outstanding of assigned customers
- To follow up on claim handling and complaints in close cooperation with operations and with Commercial Manager
- Perform quality and timely update and maintenance of the data in CRM (Sales Claud)
- To take up additional tasks to be assigned by superiors
- Ensure all RFQ (request for quotation) are replied to within the time specified.
- Communicate with internal team to maintain cost and selling rate in our system

Operations Team Leader - Ocean Freight (1 Position)
- The core purpose of this role is to provide consistent, high quality customer service for customers in Ocean Freight department.
- Lead and manage the team to focus on the key Customer Service Drivers.
- Fully understand all contracts and charge structures including surcharges, additional charges and accessorial charges to ensure the company delivers on its promises and takes every opportunity to up sell and receive value for all services provided.
- Ensure proper implementation of new clients or new programs.
- Ensure and monitor all bookings with vendors/shippers are executed on time.
- Plan and coordinate with vendors/shippers.
- Ensure that the Customer service teams send timely quotations to the Customer.
- Monitor responsiveness on Query Resolution with shippers/Customers.
- Monitor data integrity of systems.
- Responsible for cross sell/up sell, customer retention.
- Follow up on the outstanding bookings & query resolution.
- Monitor, record and report the performance of team members.
- Work with the Commercial team to establish and strengthen customer relationships.
- Ensure ocean freight operation is accordance to corporate standard procedure and guideline
- Promote teamwork spirit and cross division with effective communication
- Prepare weekly & monthly report as required by Head of Trade. E.g. Weekly allocation performance, the use of non-preferred carriers, on quotation hit ratio and so on.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/ Sales & Marketing/ Foreign Trade /Economics or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in managing small Operations / Customer service teams with minimum 4 years’ experience in the Logistics sector

- Price FCL rates for all kinds of FCL Ocean Freight business opportunities (focus on
- country/local opportunities), and support local commercial teams to achieve best procurement results, as well as Pricing Guidance to achieve profitable growth (end-to-end basis)
- Support and promote Pricing Models
- Manage and balance Margin Optimization vs. Aggressive Growth
- Administer buying rates (local charges, local rates upon request) with easy access to authorized group
- Carrier Performance Management
- Manage Carrier quality KPI’s and provide input on deviations, eg data accuracy, invoice quality, in time availability of information etc.

- Organize and lead in carrier quarter business review (QBR) to review business progress with all main stakeholders.
- Manage allocation, steer carrier choices both procured & internal allocation.

Sales Support (1 Position)
General Description:
This position is responsible for supporting sales man to maintain customer service contacts with existing customers in order to create a continuous improvement regarding efficiencies, profitability, and quality and customer satisfaction of Schenker Cambodia.
- Maintain contact with existing customers, takes care of the implementation of new customersand coordinates the communication flow to and from customers.
- Coordinate with internal relevant department to complete customer’s requirements and send all theneeded shipping information to operation department for further operational handling.
- Coordinating with internal relevant department/overseas offices to obtain the rates and inform them the SOP.
- Helping sales force to work on quotations (i.e. sending quotations) or on behalf of sales force while they are out in the field); Following up quotations.
- Qualifying and processing sales leads through contacting potential customers
- Support all sales channels in the monthly sales reforecast exercise.
- Providing administrative support to sales in connection with processing of customer inquiries, sales planning and sales controlling.
- Assisting on marketing campaigns and take up additional tasks as assigned.
- Generating and distributing (internal/external) reports as assigned by the management
- Taking minutes during the weekly sales meeting and distribute to all participants.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities deemed necessary by Manager.
- Provide monthly report of revenue by products and the required data to strategic planning
