Announcement Description

Care for Children’s vision is to see millions of children around the world moved from institutional care into local loving families.

We develop strategic partnerships with governments to help create a positive alternative to institutional care through local family-based care. We have been operating in China since 1998, helping a generation of orphaned and abandoned children to be placed into good, local foster families. Following the success of the Chinese project, we have been invited by many Asian governments to replicate our programme. New projects have since been launched in Thailand (2012) and Vietnam (2017). In 2022 Care for Children was invited by the Cambodian government to help develop foster care as an alternative to institutional care in the country.
