Remuneration
Salary range up to USD 2,500 net per month with other benefits
- The responsibilities of the Trade Promotion Manager are as follows:
- Work with the Competitiveness Coordinator to develop a plan to promote investment in and export of high value crops such as sesame, sweet potato, mango and others
- Develop new interventions with stakeholders to promote the competitiveness of rice and high value crops for export
- Organise events to disseminate the results of the ‘Study on High Value Crops’ and for related interventions with private companies and stakeholders
- Oversee research studies between CAVAC and GDA on high value crops such as sweet potato, sesame and avocado
- Work with government partners on an agricultural trade information forum and market intelligence
- Oversee projects aimed at supporting the establishment of quality infrastructure policy in Cambodia
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis of quality infrastructure in Cambodia
- Support team to work with CDC to help establish Cambodia’s agrifood investment unit
- Work with colleagues on existing interventions in quality rice, quality seed, strategic market access and a public-private-academia platform
- Assist in financial planning and budget preparation for the Competitiveness component activities.
- Selection Criteria
- A Master’s degree in Economics, Trade, Business Administration, Rural Development and Agronomy or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in the agriculture sector
- Demonstrated experience working with private sector and government partners (preferably MEF, MOC, CDC, and/or MAFF)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in agricultural trade
- Demonstrated experience in partner coordination, event organisation, and project monitoring
- Excellent verbal and written Khmer and English language communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work constructively in a team.
