Teacher Assistant Support (2 Positions)
To work with the School Leaders and Head of Department, Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy Co., Ltd. The Teaching Assistant Support is reporting to Head of Department and is responsible for:
- Assisting Teachers in delivering effective learning to students
- Preparing classroom and materials to standards set by Teachers.
- Keeping classroom clean, organised and tidy.
- Managing classroom displays and decoration.
- Monitoring the progress of students and discussing issues with Teachers.
- Supervising students outside of class time, during lunch, nap time playground time, arrival and dismissal. Students are never to be left unattended.
- Monitoring students’ well-being and motivating them to achieve their goals.
- Working with others to ensure efficient day to day running of Pre School class.
- Adhering to hygiene standards.
- Attend training to enhance professional development.
- Maintaining the safety of students.
- Coordination of in-school special events and celebration days.
- Assist in After-school care programme.
- Assumes the roles of a Teacher when a teacher is out of the classroom.
- Assists and helps in events when deployed
- Interpret for the teachers during PTM sessions when needed
- Performing other functions as necessary or assigned by Heads of Division.
- Academic Education / Training / Experience
- Completed High School education or Degree preferred, in any field.
- Strong knowledge of childcare and Early Years education
- 1-year minimum experience or fresh graduated
- Able to communicate in English.

Teacher, Khmer Language
JOB DESCRIPTION
To work with the School Leaders and Head of Department, Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy Co., Ltd. (SCIA), a Cambodia registered subsidiary of SIM International Academy Pte. Ltd., The Teacher, Khmer Language is reporting to Department Head, Chinese and Khmer Languages:
- Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on National, Local and School standards in Khmer Language education and research and knowledge of developmental behaviours.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of proven methods.
- Differentiate lessons when needed to give all students access to the curriculum regardless of disability, instructional level, Khmer proficiency or level of interest in the subject.
- Evaluate student performance on tasks established by the standards using different methods such as observation, performance-based tasks or other standard test practices.
- Maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modelling expected behaviours and standards, promoting positive interactions and quickly addressing behaviours that are not in line with the school discipline plan.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress, potential and behaviours periodically through phone or electronic means and at parent and teacher conferences.
- Improve skills and knowledge in teaching by regularly taking classes, attending workshops and discovering new methods of delivering exciting content to students.
- Performing other functions as necessary or assigned by Supervisors / Heads of Division.
- Assisting Supervisors / Heads of Division in any projects or tasks in relation to company goals and objectives.
- Participating in all School-wide events.
- Academic Education / Training / Experience
- Degree in Khmer Language or Education from a recognised university.
- Teaching certification from a recognised institution.
- Strong knowledge in curriculum, pedagogy and assessments.
- Experience in teaching in an international setting is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in education institutions.
- Experience in teaching in an international setting, as well as managing a department in school, is an advantage.
