Northbridge International School Cambodia is looking for a talented Teaching Assistant to join the school's dynamic Learning support team. One to One Teaching Assistant

Position Summary

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Report to: Teacher and Head of Primary

Start date: 7th October 2024

As a one-to-one teaching assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our incredible students. You will work closely with the inclusion teacher, classroom teacher, parents, and other professionals to ensure that the student receives personalized attention and achieves their maximum potential.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to the student, both academically and emotionally
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement tailored strategies and interventions
  • Foster a positive learning environment, promoting inclusion and engagement
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and record progress, providing ongoing feedback and reports to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider school community, including parents, caregivers, and external professionals
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing situations
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
