Social Work Trainer

Report: Primary report line will be to Program Manager Regular liaison will be required with Finance Team, project team, and local authorities.
Position Location: Phnom Penh, with frequent travels to the provinces (40%)
The main function of this position: To connect with service providers and local governments in supporting relevant cases of survivors and to support the WHI team of trainers in the capacity building of government partners at national and subnational levels and duty bearers at grassroots levels.
Key Stakeholders: Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and relevant department of Social Affairs in relevant province, CCWCs, local authorities, schools, local NGO partners, and other stakeholders.
- Case Management
- To provide regular follow up and psychosocial support to survivors, case management and regular updating of case files.
- Attend regular supervision sessions with supervisors and provide supervision to junior staff.
- Provide necessary capacity building on case management as per direction from the line manager.
- Facilitate group supervision of case workers.
- Training
- Work closely with the Protection Program manager in the process of conducting training for local service providers and other stakeholders (government, faith leaders, youth, etc).
- Serve as co-trainer in providing trauma-informed training and other relevant case management training by the project team.
- Assist the Program Manager in the process of doing coaching session with service providers or trainees.
- Plan on work to support and follow up the trainees after the coaching session.
- Assist the Program Manager in developing and implementing a plan to observe, evaluate, and coach training participants throughout their service provision to ensure that learning is put into practice.
- Conduct outreach events/awareness raising with men and women in community.
- To engage with women, men, and influencers to build strong focal point in target area for making sustainability.
- Monitoring and Evaluation/MALVA
- In cooperation with WHI monitoring and evaluation staff, update Results-based Framework and other data logs when required.
- Involve in innovation or research by MALVA team and other activities when required.
- Support the collection of stories of impact or write stories of impact regularly.
- Operations
- Complete all necessary admin, procurement and finance documents needed by the Protection team following the WHI policy.
- Represent WHI in attending meetings with provincial government and NGO partners.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field. A Master Degree is a great advantage.
- At least experience in working with traumatized women and children for 5 years
- At least experience in training, facilitating and awareness raising for 5 years
- Experience in facilitating training with caregivers or social workers a great advantage.
- Experience working with indigenous community, preferable.
- Able to establish relationship and communicate with local authorities who is working directly with women and children for offering effective support.
- Understanding of crisis intervention, child protection, gender base violence, online child exploitation and abuse (OCSEA) and other forms of human trafficking.
- Ability to keep professional boundaries, code of ethic and addresses all personal issues that may affect the work.
- A passion and willingness to advocate to reduce violence against women and children.
OCSEA Youth Engagement Officer

Position Location: Phnom Penh, with frequent travels to the provinces (40%)
The main function of this position: To facilitate innovative approaches being piloted by WHI among youth in Cambodia. This will include working with Project Team Youth facilitators in WHI and partners, including youth leaders in schools and communities.
Key Stakeholders: Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and Child Protection Department and relevant NGO partners, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate the implementation of the Pilot Tool “Digital Guardians” Tool to mobilize youth
- Learn the “Digital Guardians” Tool for three age groups (flipcharts and workbooks);
- Support the training of youth facilitators for all three age groups, both in communities and in schools.
- Participate in the IMPACT Consortium Training of Trainors and roll out training to WHI programs;
- Provide monitoring and support to the staff and youth Digital guardians in their work in the field.
- Provide support in the coordination of youth groups from Mondulkiri and in other parts of the country, in their campaigns or youth representation at subnational, national and ASEAN level, as appropriate.
- Serve as a focal point for WHI Cambodia’s work with the MOSAVY Child Protection Department – with focus on the youth mobilization for OCSEA and online scamming prevention efforts.
- Youth Support and Mentoring
- Work closely with the Technical Experts on OCSEA Prevention consultant or staff to strengthen pilot project implementation with quality assurance.
- Provide mentoring and coaching support to staff and youth facilitators.
- Plan on work to support and follow up the trainees after the coaching session.
- Assist the Program Manager in developing and implementing a plan to observe, evaluate, and coach training participants throughout their implementation to ensure that learning is put into practice.
- Support the youth-led actions, campaigns and outreach events/awareness raising in schools and communities.
- To engage with youth leaders with other agencies and influencers to build strong youth network in WHI target areas.
- Support to Exploitation Free Village:
- To learn the principles and practice of Explitation Free Village and support the Protection team in the target communities on EFV implementation, as needed.
- Provide training support to youth facilitators in EFV as required.
