BACKGROUND

Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and development NGO in general consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC). GNI has made great strides in its mission by providing people around the world with a better quality of life.

Good Neighbors Cambodia (GNC) is the field country project that has been implementing its projects in Cambodia since 2002. GNC is one of 35 partnership countries of GN that has been implementing long-term development programs in Cambodia since 2002, focusing on sponsorship, child protection, education, health, WASH, income generation & partnership building, advocacy, and emergency relief in six Community Development Programs, one Social Enterprise and one Maternal Child Health (MCH) project in seven provinces of Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kratie, Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri and Phnom Penh Capital City.

PROJECT SUMMARY

We are developing a new digital initiative designed to foster meaningful connections across cultures and communities. At its core is a new online platform that blends cultural content, community-building, and digital storytelling to create a vibrant space for global engagement.

Our approach emphasizes authentic human connection and the thoughtful use of technology to support deeper, people-to-people relationships. Currently in its early stages, the project integrates elements of social impact, creativity, and digital innovation.

Position Summary

Contract type: 1-year contract with the possibility of extension

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating content, brainstorming new ideas, and experimenting with different formats. You don’t need to be an expert in everything—but you should be curious, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where plans evolve and creativity is valued over perfection.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Online Community (60%)
  • Appear in and create content such as videos, reels, and live sessions as the visible face of the platform
  • Manage and moderate community engagement across social media and platform channels.
  • Support the development of online community strategy, including launching approach, campaign formats, branding styles, and influencer collaborations
  • Develop concepts for engaging content (videos, reels, posts, etc.) for the online community
  • Write content scripts
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for content development
  • Conduct interviews with community people, children, and people on the street
  • Direct and shoot videos in a variety of setting using phone camera, digital camera, lighting setup, microphone, etc.
  • Edit raw footage and deliver final content versions
  • Coordinate and manage content contributors such as writers, editors, and videographers
  • Upload content in the online community
  • Identify and collaborate with influencer and co-creators in Cambodia, US, Canada, and Australia
  • Help maintain an inclusive, respectful, and engaging community environment.
  • Mobile and Web App (10%)
  • Take the lead on outlining the app design for mobile and web using Figma or similar tool
  • Support the idea development of app features
  • Hire and collaborate with app developer (supplier) on the development and testing of the app
  • Ensure that app bugs and other challenges are quickly fixed after app launch
  • Sponsorship Program (15%)
  • Support the design of the sponsorship program
  • Help collect and organize user feedback from sponsors and sponsorship recipients
  • Collaborate with the sponsorship operation team in selecting, visiting, and solve practical challenges related to the sponsorship recipients
  • Receive feedback, and communicate with sponsors
  • Moderate communication between sponsor and sponsorship recipient
  • Crowdfunding (10%)
  • Develop ideas for crowdfunding products, including online and off-line solutions
  • Design and propose potential sponsor engagement tiers, contributor shoutouts, and reward structures
  • Help plan and promote community-wide crowdfunding challenges, milestones, or matching gift events
  • Track crowdfunding campaign performance and contribute ideas for iteration and optimization

  • Project Management (5%)
  • Ensure all project activities are implemented according to plan
  • Hire suppliers, including preparation of ToR and other relevant documents
  • Prepare and settle financial spendings
  • Track and execute project budget
  • Plan and manage all project logistic, including traveling
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Mandatory
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, marketing, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Demonstrated experience creating compelling digital content (e.g., social media campaigns, reels, blogs)
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with good project coordination skills
  • Interest in digital content, technology, and social media
  • Strong Khmer and English language skills, both written and verbal, is an absolute must
  • Desirable
  • 1-year experience in project management
  • Strong knowledge of Cambodian culture, history, and society
  • Video filming and editing skills (e.g., Premiere Pro)
